Life constantly throws us curveballs, and setbacks are a natural part of the process. What matters most is how you respond to them.

The key is to keep moving forward and focus on consistent progress. By staying proactive and following the advice you’ve been given, you’ll stay in the right path.

What is osteoporosis? 🦴

How can you prevent/control it with your lifestyle? 🏃🏻‍♀️

It can be very scary to be told that your bones are more fragile than they should be. However, it’s important to remember that osteoporosis is a process, and can thus be slowed down.
Being as strong as possible and maintaining the right levels of vitamin D are crucial for this.

Movements in the pelvis are subtle but their importance is huge!

1. The pelvis has to move in order to coordinate the spine and legs when walking, bending, lifting etc., or compensation in the lower back or knees can occur. 🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️

2. The sacrum connects the spine to the pelvis, so to prevent strain in the lower back, all this needs to move properly.

3. Pelvic movement is essential for labour and delivery. 🤰🏻

4. Immobility and tightness of the pelvis can contribute to compression of the sciatic nerve. 😕

Hi I’m Lauren, one of the chiropractors at Wetherby Chiropractic.

I love chiropractic because I’m able to help people just by using my hands and the tools I have in the treatment room. From back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain to headaches, I’m here to help! I love working as a team with my patients to accomplish their goals, whether it’s playing with grandkids, sitting at their desk more comfortably at work, or lifting in the gym. I like to think that my care is individualised, so that I am doing the best that I can to work with the patient, as everyone is different and has different needs. I take pride in educating my patients on their pain, and providing them with the right tools to improve, and also prevent any future episodes.

My approach combines manual therapy, soft tissue work and rehabilitation, so that my patients can be both pain free and get back to doing what they do best with more confidence too.

I work Tuesdays-Fridays and work Saturdays too, so book online to find a day and time that suits you best!
