Our longest serving member of staff Rob will be "Braving The Shave" in aid of Macmillan at the end of August. He's a little nervous about it, but we know he will do great. Macmillan were there to help him a couple of years ago, so he has decided to try and raise some money to help them. If anyone is interested in learning a little more, here is a link to his page.

Due to retirement G.E. Hartley & Son are recruiting a full time funeral director / embalmer to be based at their Wetherby office. Experience in funeral work essential, job includes taking part in an on call 24-hour rota.

The successful candidate will be able to arrange and conduct funerals as well as embalm and prepare deceased's. Other examples of day to day tasks include fitting coffins, washing cars, digging cremated remains plots etc.

The on call rota includes carrying out removals of deceased's from homes and nursing homes etc. There is a requirement to live within 30 minutes of our Wetherby and Garforth offices in order to react in a timely manner to call outs.

Salary dependent on experience/skills.

Employment to begin early 2020.
