🎨🐣 Arts & Crafts Fun This Afternoon! 🐣🎨

In today’s group activity, our residents enjoyed getting creative with some arts and crafts by making colourful Easter door hangs. Everyone had a wonderful time colouring and designing their decorations, and it was lovely to see so much creativity and enjoyment around the table. 🌸

One member of staff shared, “I love when residents are having fun.” Moments like these really do make the day special. 💛

One of our residents also said, “I like colouring,” which perfectly summed up the relaxed and happy atmosphere during the activity.

Well done to everyone who took part — your Easter decorations look fantastic! 🐰🌷

Today Rich worked his magic in the kitchen and slow-cooked the most incredible hearty beef shin stew 🥘✨

Rich, tender beef falling off the bone, rich gravy packed with flavour, and plenty of chunky veg — the kind of proper comfort food that warms everyone’s cockles and makes the whole house smell amazing.

Nothing beats gathering around a big steaming pot on a chilly day. Safe to say there were clean bowls all round and very happy faces! ❤️

A huge thank you to the amazing Kirsty Higgins for her absolutely fabulous ABBA tribute and party songs this afternoon! 🎤✨

What a wonderful afternoon it was – full of music, laughter, and so much joy. The atmosphere was incredible, and it was such a delight to see everyone singing along and having the best time.

One of our residents even said, “I love it when Kirsty comes!” – which truly says it all! 💛

A staff member also shared how much they love seeing the residents singing and enjoying themselves. Moments like these are so special and mean so much to everyone here.

Thank you again, Kirsty, for bringing the party and making it such a memorable afternoon. We can’t wait to have you back! 🎶💃🕺

🐾✨ A Very Special Visitor Today! ✨🐾

Today we had a lovely visit from Fozzie the therapy dog, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! 💛

Fozzie’s gentle nature and friendly personality brought so many smiles to our residents. There were lots of cuddles, laughter, and happy conversations as everyone enjoyed spending time with him and giving him plenty of well-deserved attention.

One resident shared, “I just love it when Fozzie visits us — he makes my day!” 🥰

A member of staff also said, “The residents absolutely love it when Fozzie comes for a visit. You can really see the difference it makes.”

Visits like this truly brighten our home, and we are so grateful for the joy Fozzie brings each time he comes. We’re already looking forward to welcoming him back again soon! 🐶💕

🍷✨ Wine Tasting Afternoon! ✨🍷

Today we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting experience, kindly arranged on behalf of Richard from Once Upon a Vine, Wetherby, who supplied a fantastic set up for us. The display looked amazing and created such a lovely atmosphere for everyone to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed sampling the selection of wines and chatting together about their favourites. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and lively conversations around the table!

One resident shared, “I loved trying all the different wines — it was such a treat!” 🍷

A member of staff added with a smile, “It was amazing… but please bring cheese next time!” 🧀😉

A big thank you to Richard for providing such a special experience — we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🍇🥂

🏅 This week at Ashfield, we’ve had an amazing time taking part in some friendly competitive sports! 🏅

The joy and laughter from the residents was truly heart-warming. Getting active through fun competition not only brought big smiles, but also supported physical health, coordination, and overall wellbeing 💪😄

Our staff shared how much they love seeing the residents enjoying themselves, staying active, and cheering each other on. There’s nothing better than watching everyone move, laugh, and connect through exercise ❤️

And the residents? They had this to say: “We love getting competitive!” 😄👏
It’s safe to say the friendly rivalry made the week even more exciting!
