🐾✨ A Very Special Visitor Today! ✨🐾

Today we had a lovely visit from Fozzie the therapy dog, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! 💛

Fozzie’s gentle nature and friendly personality brought so many smiles to our residents. There were lots of cuddles, laughter, and happy conversations as everyone enjoyed spending time with him and giving him plenty of well-deserved attention.

One resident shared, “I just love it when Fozzie visits us — he makes my day!” 🥰

A member of staff also said, “The residents absolutely love it when Fozzie comes for a visit. You can really see the difference it makes.”

Visits like this truly brighten our home, and we are so grateful for the joy Fozzie brings each time he comes. We’re already looking forward to welcoming him back again soon! 🐶💕

🍷✨ Wine Tasting Afternoon! ✨🍷

Today we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting experience, kindly arranged on behalf of Richard from Once Upon a Vine, Wetherby, who supplied a fantastic set up for us. The display looked amazing and created such a lovely atmosphere for everyone to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed sampling the selection of wines and chatting together about their favourites. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and lively conversations around the table!

One resident shared, “I loved trying all the different wines — it was such a treat!” 🍷

A member of staff added with a smile, “It was amazing… but please bring cheese next time!” 🧀😉

A big thank you to Richard for providing such a special experience — we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🍇🥂

🏅 This week at Ashfield, we’ve had an amazing time taking part in some friendly competitive sports! 🏅

The joy and laughter from the residents was truly heart-warming. Getting active through fun competition not only brought big smiles, but also supported physical health, coordination, and overall wellbeing 💪😄

Our staff shared how much they love seeing the residents enjoying themselves, staying active, and cheering each other on. There’s nothing better than watching everyone move, laugh, and connect through exercise ❤️

And the residents? They had this to say: “We love getting competitive!” 😄👏
It’s safe to say the friendly rivalry made the week even more exciting!

💘 Valentine’s Day vibes are in full swing in Ashfield! 💘

The decorations are all up and looking extra lovely — hearts everywhere, pops of red and pink, and plenty of romantic cheer filling the home. 🌹✨

Because let’s be honest… “Love is sweet, but love with decorations is even sweeter.” ❤️😉

Whether you’re celebrating with someone special or just enjoying the atmosphere, Ashfield is well and truly ready for Valentine’s Day! 💞

🎵 What a special day at Ashfield! 🎵

Today we were delighted to welcome Laura simpson, who came in to play her bagpipes for everyone. The sound filled Ashfield and brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces — they absolutely loved it!

One resident was overheard saying, “I haven’t heard bagpipes in years,” which truly warmed our hearts. 💙

The joy spread to the team too, with staff getting involved and enjoying the moment. One staff member even said, “This is amazing — the residents absolutely love it!”

Experiences like this are so beneficial for our residents, helping to spark memories, encourage emotional wellbeing, and create meaningful moments of connection and joy.

Thank you, Laura, for such a memorable and uplifting experience. Days like this mean so much to everyone at Ashfield 🥰🎶

🦉✨ What a wonderful day at Ashfield! ✨🦉

Today we were delighted to welcome Harrogate Birds of Prey & Creature Cave to Ashfield, and it truly was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

Our residents absolutely loved meeting all the amazing animals, from the beautiful owls to the fascinating creatures that visited us. There was so much excitement, with lots of great questions asked – the team are incredibly knowledgeable and made the session both fun and informative.

One resident summed it up perfectly, saying:
💬 “I love all the animals, especially the furry ones.”

A member of staff also shared:
💬 “It’s so nice to see the residents enjoying themselves.”

Everyone really enjoyed having the owls and animals come in today, and it was lovely to see so many smiling faces and curious minds. Thank you to Harrogate Birds of Prey & Creature Cave for such a memorable visit – we can’t wait to welcome you back! 🦎🦉💛
