Hitting the sweet spot with wake windows is crucial for restorative sleep.

Watching your baby's sleep cues and learning if they are a high or low sleep needs baby helps too.

These are average timings, some baby's manage more or less - that's absolutely fine!

Waking after just 2 hours is exhausting overnight. Neither you or your baby are getting the rest you need!

Most babies wake between sleep cycles (every 1–2 hours) but if your baby needs help every single time, that’s why you’re stuck in the cycle 😴

Most people will just say "They're just hungry" but it is often more than that.

It usually comes down to things like:
✨ Sleep associations (feeding, rocking, dummy)
✨ Wake windows being off
✨ No consistent routine

And while feeding or rocking back to sleep works in the moment… it makes your baby feel they need this EVERY time they wake.

So they continue to wake and need you every 1-2 hours. It's exhausting!

But it is possible to change this, I've done it!

It's probably the most common issue parents come to me with. I've helped parents of baby's under 6 months, go from 5 wakes to just 1. Or, a 12 month old moving to no wakes! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

For all the new parents out there!

Here's some of my tip tips for supporting your newborn with sleep and wellbeing 🌟

Remember, there are no bad habits here, don't feel the pressure for following a routine and lean on those around you for support πŸ’–

For those short wake windows (60-90 minutes) I recommend contrast products, such as their muslins or flashcards. Great for connection with your baby and developing their vision and focus.

Before we started working together, in this Mums words she said "I don't know what to do". She felt defeated.

Her 12 month old was defiant at bedtime, each night it was a fight, where previously she was going down with ease.

She would wake multiple times overnight, sometimes she was awake for a few hours in the middle of the night.

Now almost 2 weeks into sleep support, she is a different baby. Sleeping through the night to the point that Mum asked should I be waking her up!!
