Queen Charlotte Nursing Home This Georgian mansion in Chickerell, offers nursing, residential and dementia care in an elegant setting.

The beautiful décor and furnishings complement the home's period features and residents love the spacious environment and wonderful garden. Our ‘person-centred’ approach means that each and every one of our residents is treated as an individual and given love, attention and a unique programme of care according to their needs. Our magnificent home, set in stunning grounds, is always open to visitors and our dedicated and professional staff are always on hand to help and advise – visitors are as welcome here as they were when the resident lived in their own house, at whatever time of the day.

On Wednesday 5th November we enjoyed our “All Souls celebration of life church service” for our lovely residents that we have lost this year we invited their families to the home to join in our service. We enjoyed prayers and psalms hymns, then personal readings about loved ones when we hung butterflies 🦋 on our remembrance tree . We then followed this moving service with delicious coffee and cakes together.

🚨 𝙎𝙌𝙐𝘼𝘿 𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙊𝙐𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 – 𝙔𝙀𝙊𝙑𝙄𝙇 𝙒𝙊𝙈𝙀𝙉’𝙎 𝘽𝘼𝙍𝘽𝘼𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙎 🚨

This Sunday, our Yeovil Women’s Barbarians hit the road to take on Kingswood Ladies 🏉

With the equivalent of 22 players unavailable across the squads, this double game weekend was always going to be a challenge — but we’ve done it 💪

It would have been easy to give a walkover…..but that’s not who we are. Instead, we’ve begged (not borrowed or stolen!) and pulled together a quality team heading to Bristol 👏

What this team means to its players is clear — 10 women heading out, proudly embodying the club motto:‘Together We Stand’ 🖤🤍

We had a lovely afternoon making some cheesy star biscuits 🙌🧀

We covered the puff pastry in an egg wash them covered it in grated cheese, added some salt and pepper, then we cut the pastry into shapes using a star cookie cutter and baked them in the oven.

Once they were ready we had a taste and they were delicious! 💜
