Another Success Story: A Journey to Comfort!

Today, I had the pleasure of seeing a young girl for her follow up appointment. She came to me 2 months ago with an ingrown toenail after an unsuccessful procedure by a podiatrist. It’s always tough to see someone so young in pain, and her situation was no exception.

After assessing her condition, I decided to implement the **Unibrace nail brace system** combined with **cofferdam tamponade**. This approach not only alleviated her discomfort but also provided the necessary support for her nail to grow correctly.

🎉 This might just be her last brace, and seeing her smile again makes it all worthwhile.

It's a reminder of the power of perseverance and the right treatment. 💖 If you know anyone struggling with similar issues, don’t hesitate to reach out!

⭐️Have you ever wondered why scalpel is better then a foot file or pumice stone?👣 Do you use foot file everyday and the skin on your your heels got thicker and started to crack?👇👇

In podiatry, the goal isn't to remove calluses as quickly as possible, but to do it safely and with respect for the skin. Scalpel preparation allows for very precise control of the depth of work. Only the dead layer is removed, without overheating or excessive abrasion of healthy tissue.
Unlike a pumice stone or a file, a scalpel doesn't cause micro-thermal trauma or excessive friction. After such a procedure, the skin isn't "stimulated into defense," so it doesn't grow faster or thicken excessively. The results are more stable, and the patient's comfort is improved.
Of course, each method has its place, but a scalpel in the hands of an experienced Foot Health Profesional offers the greatest control and allows for a treatment tailored precisely to the needs of the skin, rather than a formulaic approach.

Trust me, your feet will feel amazing. Maybe not right away, but stick with it, and you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner!

Elevate your daily foot training routine and make it a habit that your feet will celebrate 👣

Pro tip: These movements can be mixed up in any order and will only take 5-8 minutes a day with practice.

👣Toe Stretch: Use a band to gently stretch and align your big toe. Feel the tension release as your foot relaxes.

🎾 Ball Rolling: Roll a ball under your foot from heel to toes. Increase the pressure as you get more comfortable, and for an extra challenge, lift your toes while rolling.

🦶Pain Management: Find any sore spots and press with your thumbs for 20-30 seconds while gently moving your toes up and down. It might sting a bit, but it’s part of the healing process.

👐Toe Splay: Use your fingers to spread your toes apart, or focus on separating a few at a time. Marvel at how your feet become more flexible and free from the confines of shoes.

🦶Top Foot Massage: Massage the areas between your toe bones with your fingers or thumbs. Start from the top and work down to the joints, encouraging your toes to spread and break free from years of tight footwear.

Commit to these moves for just 14 days and feel the difference in 2026!

🍄 The first symptoms of fungal infection- what to look for?

Fungus of the feet and toenails rarely begins suddenly.

Most often, it develops slowly and for a long time, it gives subtle signals that are easy to ignore.

👀 The first symptoms that should be noticed:

– changing the colour of the nail (yellow, white, greyish)

– brittleness or delamination of the plate

– gentle peeling of the skin between the toes

– feeling of dryness or tightness

– sometimes slight itching (but not always!)

❌ What do many people do in the beginning?

- waits until "it will pass by itself"

– masks the problem with nail varnish

– uses random stuff like Vicks

Effect?

👉 the infection is getting worse and the treatment takes much longer.

👣 Why is it worth reacting early?

✔️ shorter therapy

✔️ smaller changes in the nail

✔️ lower risk of recurrence

✔️ protection of household members from infection

📅 If you notice the first changes - do not delay the consultation.

The faster we act, the easier it is to control the problem.

What's the point of that brace on your nail? 🤩🔧
Do you see a small wire or strip stuck on this toenail and wonder what its purpose is? That's the surgical steel brace – a simple yet ingenious tool used by Foot Health Profesionals!

What is a brace and why do we wear one?
Imagine your nail being like a spring that's grown into the nail fold or curling inward (tubular). This leads to pain, pressure, and inflammation.

👣How it works: The brace is placed on the nail plate (usually painlessly) and applies a gentle, constant pulling force.

👣Purpose: It is designed to gently lift the nail plate and restore its proper growth path.

👣Effect: It relieves pressure on compressed tissues, providing immediate pain relief and preventing further ingrown nails.

Pain with every step? Time for relief!
📆 If you're struggling with an ingrown or curling toenail, schedule a consultation. I'll help you choose the perfect brace and restore your nails to a healthy shape!
