💪🏻 Sports in the morning, sweets in the afternoon - now THAT’S balance 🥧

We kicked things off with some winter sports day games, building teamwork 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻 and sharpening our accuracy 🎯

Then it was time to switch gears and whip up a classic American apple pie for a well-earned sweet treat! 🇺🇸

🕹️ Arcade mornings just hit different 💥

▪️ Started the day under flashing lights and questionable competitive energy ⚡️
▪️ Claw machine domination attempts (we were robbed)
▪️ Air hockey battles that ended friendships for a few business days
▪️ High scores were set and tickets were hoarded like treasure

Then we traded joysticks for mixing bowls and turned the afternoon in to baking mode 👨🏻‍🍳
▫️ Aprons on
▫️ Music up
▫️ Heart-shaped biscuits in progress
▫️ Sprinkles everywhere
▫️ Chocolate “quality control” every five minutes
▫️ At least one batch slightly overconfident in the oven.

✔️ From arcade champions (self-proclaimed) to biscuit artists in a single day
✔️ 10/10 vibes
✔️ Zero regrets

Restocking the fridge 🧃
Money skills 🪙

Musical Wednesday 🎶

Wednesday was all things musical - and what a day it was! 🎤
We kicked things off with a visit from the lovely Shelley, who brought the energy with an incredible Broadway Boogie 👯 From Chicago to Six and even The Little Mermaid 🦀 we danced, sang, and completely embraced the stage spirit 🙌🏻

The musical magic didn’t stop there as our Performing Arts crew carried the theme forward with our all-time favourite, The Greatest Showman - and yes, the bearded lady made an appearance! 🧔🏻‍♀️

We created our very own affirmation board, writing powerful, positive messages onto stars ⭐️ before rolling out the red carpet ✨ everyone took their turn walking the carpet, sharing what the song ‘This Is Me’ means to them 🙋🏻‍♂️
A truly powerful anthem of self-acceptance, confidence and empowerment 🥰 and a song that we’ve adopted as Dorset Abilities Group’s anthem ❤️
To top it all off, we performed the song for some of our friends 🫶🏻

🌸 Ladies Pamper Day 🫖

The ladies at DAG were treated to the most beautiful day - spending the morning shopping 🛍️ creating a beautifully decorated table 🌷 and baking homemade scones! 👩🏻‍🍳
From handwritten place names, napkins decorated with flowers, flavoured water, finger sandwiches, personalised cups, hanging decorations, flowers and candles - we went all out and were delighted with the outcome! 🫶🏻

What would a girls day be without some pampering? 💄 We created some stunning make up looks, made our own organic face masks and painted our nails too 💅🏻
Needless to say, we all felt fabulous and couldn’t stop smiling all day! 💖

On Tuesday, DAG’s social group had a fantastic trip to the Shire Hall museum in Dorchester! 🤗 We explored the historic courthouse and even stepped into the old courtroom to act out a real case 👩🏼‍⚖️

Everyone got involved, had lots of fun, and learned so much about local history - a brilliant day all round! ✨
