Some of the team are at Moreton Equestrian Centre for the unaffiliated show jumping and also celebrating international Womens Day 2026

Women have long made up the overwhelming majority of frontline workers in healthcare across the world, so why doesn’t that translate to leadership positions?

Recent stats this week reveal that 90 per cent of frontline healthcare workers globally are women, along with 70 per cent of the overall global health workforce. But just 25 per cent of leadership roles in health are held by women.

Jurassic Event Medical thanks all of our team today and always and hold women in management positions within our service.

FREC 3 Training with Jurassic Event Medical.

Congratulations to the February cohort on completing and passing your First Response in Emergency Care Certification.

Importantly, we took our learning from the classroom into real scenario situations.

FREC 3 is ideal for individuals looking for a, hands-on, comprehensive, and widely accepted qualification for working in high-risk or, emergency response environments.

Endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FPHC) and meets the requirements for the 'Purple Guide' for event medical staff.

Covers scene assessment, casualty assessment (primary/secondary survey), airway management, catastrophic bleeding, CPR, AED usage, trauma, and medical conditions.

5-day, instructor-led, including hands-on training, 6 practical assessments, and 3 theory papers.

Looking forward to supporting our local community.

Free First Aid Training Offered to Portland Community

Members of the local community are being invited to take part in free first aid training at Adventure Park, Portland, thanks to the generosity of JEMS – Jurassic Event Medical Services.

The session, taking place on 8 February 2026, will be delivered by JEMS’ fully qualified and highly experienced paramedics and medics, who are volunteering their time to help equip residents with essential, life-saving skills.

Organisers say the training will provide comprehensive, practical first aid knowledge that could make a crucial difference in an emergency situation.

Two sessions are available to make the training as accessible as possible:
• 10:00am
• 2:30pm

The course is completely free of charge and open to everyone.

A spokesperson said: “We are incredibly grateful to Lynne and the entire JEMS team for their continued support of the community. Their dedication and willingness to give up their time to deliver this training is truly inspiring.”

Places are limited, and anyone wishing to attend is encouraged to book in advance by emailing info@maddisonmae.uk.

The organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to the session, helping to build confidence and resilience across the Portland community.
