🎉 A BIG THANK YOU to Wheldrake Parish Council! 🥌🎨

Our residents at Somerset House Nursing Home have been having a fantastic time using our brand-new indoor curling set – just look at those smiles in the photos! 😊

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Wheldrake Parish Council for their incredibly generous gifts of the curling set and a wonderful selection of craft materials. These thoughtful donations will help keep our residents busy, creative, and happy for many hours to come.

🎪 What a fantastic day! Stu from Circus Skills paid us a visit at Somerset House Nursing Home and wowed everyone with his incredible talents. From juggling to plate spinning, his skills left us all amazed! Our residents even gave some tricks a go.🥁👏

Our residents at Somerset House Nursing Home recently enjoyed a trip to Beverley Racecourse. 🏇🏻🐎

Our minibus trip was full of chatter and anticipation, and the afternoon didn’t disappoint — with good company and plenty to see.🗣️🏡💜

We're looking for a Bank Kitchen Assistant to join our warm, family-led team at Somerset House Nursing Home in the beautiful village of Wheldrake, near York 🏡💜

⏰44 hours per week

📅Weekends on a rota

💷£12.21 per hour

In this rewarding role, you'll be assisting in planning, preparing and delivering a high quality nutritionally benefiting plate of food to help make a difference to our resident’s health and wellbeing. ✨

We’re after someone proactive, passionate and ambitious but also with good level of experience within a kitchen role- ideally knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety standards.🙌
