Full Moon in Virgo

Well this could be an interesting ride. Often the Full Moon makes us go a bit emotionally unbalanced (where do you think the name luna(r)tic asylum came from).

Yes, yes it’s a time for letting go of course we know this, but with this a Full Moon landing in Virgo, watch out for that over thinking. With Virgo energy having high standards, also be ready for that flip of becoming highly critical of yourself. Did I mention it’s also an eclipse? Yes this Blood Moon is sprinkled with so much super charged energy…we won’t know if we are coming or going!

Huh-hum, drum roll for also us being in Mercury in Retrograde. So that feeling of stepping backwards instead of gaining forward traction, stuff breaking, etc, may also be apparent but I promise it will pass. You will step out of the funk you may find yourself currently in.

If you have signed up for my monthly newsletter “Beyond the Realm”, you’ll know that I chose the Hermit card for February and March is the Magician. How true this feels for this Moon too! In a day or two you will be ready to step out of your cave. You’ll find you have clarity and a clearer direction to head towards AND you have all the tools you need as you venture forward. Isn’t it funny how we’re so good at caring for everyone else…
…and yet we quietly put ourselves at the bottom of the list?

I’ve felt a little tangled this week. Not dramatic, just a bit knotted. So instead of pushing through, I stopped and I listened. I took myself to the allotment.

Pulling weeds, untangling and removing brambles, clearing paths and making space. Clearing what no longer needed to be there and making space for something new to grow.

It struck me how similar this is to our Root Chakra work — tending to the foundations, untangling what no longer needs to reside there and creating stability. Returning to what makes us feel safe and steady. We can’t grow well if the ground beneath us is neglected.

Reiki reminds us that energy flows where attention goes.

Today, I chose to direct that attention back to my roots. Not as an afterthought but as a priority.

If you’ve been feeling a little untethered lately, maybe it’s not about doing more…Maybe it’s about tending your foundations first.
