Today was a Special day at Whiston Hall. We have been accredited as a Veteran Friendly home. Having so many Veterans and spouses of Veterans living with us, this is a big honour for our home.

Of course we had to have a party to celebrate 🎉🎉

We had music from the fantastic Keeley May Vocals who had everyone singing and dancing all afternoon.

We also had a visit from Sitwell Ward Conservative Councillors - Rotherham Cllr Paul Thorp, Rother Valley Mp Jake Richards MP and our Rotherham Mayor.

Family and friends old and new of Whiston Hall mingled, ate, drank, danced and paid homage to those who served for our country in one way or another.
It really was a fantastic afternoon made possible by our fantastic staff team.

💜 World kindness day 💜

I chatted with the residents and they decided they wanted to do something kind for our staff team.

Myself and Janet handed out a thank you poem and a cake to all staff to thank them for all the hard work and support they give the residents and families of Whiston Hall .

We have had a fantastic Remberance day church service today led by Revd Andrew Fox from Whiston Methodist Church.

Our residents have really enjoyed paying there respects and rembering all that have sacrificed there lives for us.

We had a fab afternoon today at Sitwell Arms friendship senior lunch.
Doreen, Joyce, Janet and Kath really enjoyed the lovely food, great music and most importantly the best company.

We have a busy week planned here at Whiston Hall .
We will be joining our friends at the Sitwell Arms today for Friendship lunch, we have a small Remberance day service on Thursday 13th at 10.30AM and our Veteran Friendly party friday 14th at 2.00 with entertainment from the fantastic Keeley May Vocals .

We invite all family and friends to come along to join us for all of our plans. The more the Merrier 😬

Myself and Lorna welcomed our new resident Mary today with a local walk of Whiston Village and a visit to the Sitwell Arms for coffee and ice cream ☕️🍨.

Another day another Hydration trolley 😀
Today we made our own chocolate Sundae's and enjoyed it with a fresh fruit platter. We had watermelon, pineapple, melon and cantaloupe. 🍉🍍

Its national Spa week so we had a pamper day yesterday to celebrate. The lady's enjoyed a face mask, some lovely arm and hand massages and having nails painted. 💅.

Janet said 'its not a bad life at all this' 😍😍
