“It’s so much more than what it says on the tin…”

I honestly can’t put into words how excited (and proud!) I am about how beautifully my current Parent–Child Connection Course is unfolding! 🌟

Each week, these incredible women show up with open hearts — and the transformations already happening are just… wow.

It’s honestly so much more than what it says on the tin.

In Week 1, we dived into something that so many of us as women, mothers, and carers struggle with —
👉 putting ourselves first.

We talked about what that really looks like — not just the odd bubble bath or a quick five minutes with a cuppa before chaos resumes — but genuinely making ourselves a priority in our own lives.

We explored:
🌿 how to create small moments of calm even on the busiest days,
🌿 how to quieten the noise that constantly buzzes in our minds,
🌿 and gentle ways to soothe overwhelm before it spirals.

The energy in the group was incredible.
You could almost feel the relief as everyone realised… it’s not selfish to put yourself first — it’s essential.

And already, after just one session, the shifts were huge.
Women are noticing how they speak to themselves, how they breathe through stressful moments, and how much lighter they feel when they stop trying to hold it all together alone.

Because here’s the truth —
It’s not really about parenting or caring.
It’s about you — coming back to yourself. Finding your calm, your clarity, and your confidence again.

The next round will be opening soon, and if you’ve been feeling frazzled, stretched too thin, or just quietly craving a bit of you-time… keep an eye out. 👀

Because this isn’t just a course.
It’s a reset.
It’s a soft place to land.
It’s a coming home to yourself. 💛

When you see my posts for parent-child connection groups,
what do you
imagine it to be…?

29/10/2025

💭 Imagine this…

You’ve spent years doing everything for your kids — lunches, lifts, late nights, love on tap. You’d move mountains for them without a second thought.

But when it comes to putting yourself first?
No way. That feels selfish, right?

Here’s what I want you to know:
✨ Working on yourself is working on your children.

Neuroscience shows that children who grow up with consistent nurturing actually develop a larger hippocampus — that’s the part of the brain that manages stress and memory.

Read that again.
Love literally changes the structure of the brain.

And it starts with you.

When you learn to calm your own nervous system,
When you pause before reacting,
When you start speaking to yourself with kindness,
Your children learn how to do the same.

They’re watching.
They’re absorbing.
They’re wiring their sense of safety through you.

Every time you take a breath instead of snapping,
Every time you choose connection over control,
Every time you work on your healing —
You’re literally reshaping how their brains handle stress,
How they see the world,
And how they love themselves.

So no, it’s not selfish to work on you.
It’s the most generous, powerful gift you’ll ever give your children.
Because when you heal, they feel it.
And that’s the kind of legacy that lasts generations. 🌿

✨ If you’re ready to start that journey…
Join me for the Parent & Child Connection Course — a gentle, powerful six-week journey to help you heal old patterns, calm your nervous system, and create the peaceful connection you’ve always wanted with your child.

📅 Starts: Tuesday 4th November
🕰️ Time: 12:30–3:00pm
📍 In person event

This isn’t about “fixing” your child — it’s about finding you again.
Because when you do, everything changes. 🌸

ADHD is deeply misunderstood.

Most people think it’s just “being easily distracted.”
But ADHD is a complex neurological condition—and it comes with strengths most people never talk about.
Here are 8 truths about ADHD everyone should know:
1. It’s not a lack of attention—it’s a dysregulation of it.
People with ADHD can hyperfocus for hours on what they love—and totally ignore everything else. It’s not about laziness, it’s about control.
2. It’s not just a childhood thing.
ADHD often continues into adulthood. The symptoms just shift:
→ Less bouncing off the walls
→ More mental chaos, disorganization, and overwhelm
Many adults live undiagnosed for years.
3. ADHD brains are wired for novelty and stimulation.
Routine can feel unbearable—but these brains thrive in:
→ High-pressure environments
→ Creative problem solving
→ Fast feedback loops
In the right setting, ADHD becomes a superpower.
4. Rejection Sensitivity is real.
ADHD often includes RSD—Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria.
Criticism or perceived failure can feel crushing.
It’s emotional pain that gets misdiagnosed as mood disorders.
5. Many ADHDers are natural entrepreneurs.
They’re:
→ Big-picture thinkers
→ Risk-takers
→ Unafraid of uncertainty
They struggle with rigid systems—but thrive when creating their own.
6. Executive function is the real challenge.
ADHD affects the brain’s ability to:
→ Plan
→ Prioritize
→ Start/finish tasks
It’s not about intelligence—it’s about activation.
7. Movement helps focus.
→ Pacing
→ Fidgeting
→ Walking while thinking
These aren’t distractions—they’re coping tools.
Even cardio can boost focus and mood.
8. Structure = freedom.
Yes, really.
→ Lists
→ Calendars
→ Visual reminders
These tools reduce overwhelm and build momentum.
Structure doesn’t box ADHDers in—it frees them.
🧠 ADHD isn’t a flaw.
It’s a different operating system.
Understand it. Support it. Harness it.

Sometimes we don’t realise how much pressure we’ve been carrying…
until it’s finally lifted. 💫

For three years I’ve been trying to build my own website.
And to be honest… I’m a total dinosaur with tech. 🦕
I can guide someone through deep emotional healing, calm chaos, and help regulate a nervous system in minutes —
but HTML and website widgets? 😳 Nope. Not my thing! 😅

It’s not that I didn’t know what to say (I always have plenty to say), it’s just the how that has me completely stuck.

This week though… my son, absolute legend that he is, stepped in.
All self-taught. All clever. All calm.
And he’s only gone and built me the most amazing website! 💻✨

It’s all-singing, all-dancing, beautifully designed and linked straight to my Google Calendar —
so I clients can book sessions in without me faffing about or double-booking myself.
Honestly, I’m beyond bloody delighted!

And this morning, I got out of bed feeling about three stone lighter.

Am I? No.
But it feels like it — because that weight wasn’t physical.
It was the pressure of thinking I had to do it all on my own.
Of believing it wasn’t even an option to ask for help.

And my goodness, what a relief to learn it was.

Sometimes healing, growth, and even business stress…
ease the moment we let someone in. 💛

If you fancy a peek at my new shiny site (and want to see what my clever boy’s been up to),
pop over and have a look — I’d love to know what you think!
