What a day we have had today. First we visited the reindeer and played Santa. We looked at some beautiful decorations before tea and cake. This afternoon we were honoured to be invited to oakridge primary school Hinderwell for their first viewing of the nativity play, lots of participation took place with so much laughter. The children did an amazing job at entertaining us all 👏

Respite & Recover Centre

Our respite centre offers a safe and comfortable place for people to stay from a minimum of 3 nights, up to 6 weeks. With 24/7 care we offer the opportunity for anyone to come and visit the beautiful sea-side town of Whitby, safe in the knowledge that their care needs can be catered for. The centre is also the perfect place to recover after a recent hospital stay or fall, we can help you get back on your feet and build your confidence ready to return back home.

We have 4 bedrooms available, one is an en-suite with Sky TV! Our facilities include a whirlpool bath bath with bath and ceiling hoist, wet room, laundry service, TV and DVD player in each room and endless books and games too. During weekdays our visitors can make their way in to our day centre, this is a great place for them to socialise, join in with crafts and activities and even have a sing along! Our own mini-bus’ collect many people from the local area and bring them to the centre each day, making it a great place to chat and make friends.

Our care staff are all highly trained and will be on-hand 24/7 to assist you during your stay. We provide a fresh meal each day and you can get involved with choosing the shopping list for the week, to make sure all of your favourite snacks and drinks are available!

We provide a personalised stay for everyone who stays with us, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like any more information or to check availability in our centre.
