✨Support Brylee’s Incredible Climb for Berehill House! 🏔️

We’re so proud to share that Brylee, the granddaughter of one of our lovely residents, Joy Paget, will be taking on the mighty Crib Goch route of Mount Snowdon this August. And Brylee she’s doing it all for a cause that means so much to her and her nana - to raise funds for the residents of Berehill House!

Brylee shared:

“Since being at Berehill, my nana has received outstanding care. There are always activities going on — and even some weird and wonderful creatures visiting! The staff are incredible — welcoming, kind and person-centred in everything they do.”

Brylee starts her extraordinary expedition on 24th August. The money she raises will go directly towards new activities, enhanced facilities, and even more special moments for both our residents.

🚂 Today entailed a whistle-stop treat to Whitchurch Station for our resident Phil and his fellow train enthusiasts Raymond and Peter from Wessex Lodge.

Finding out last night that the Dorset Coast Express was due to race passed the station today, Gemma knew there were residents that would love to see it. Rallying together staff volunteers from around the homes, she managed to make it happen.

The residents smiles and sheer happiness made it all worth while. Especially, seeing resident Peter out and about enjoying the experience too.

We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Whitchurch, Cllr Tracy Woodruff, to officially open our joint celebration and community day for residents and their families at Berehill House and Wessex Lodge.

With upbeat, live music setting the tone, the atmosphere was relaxed, fun and full of laughter. Residents and families tucked into a delicious BBQ, while garden games, face painting, tombola and “name the doll” kept everyone entertained—there really was something for all ages to enjoy.

The turnout was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many residents spending quality time with their loved ones. The Mayor took time to chat with residents and share in the spirit of the day—making it even more memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing teams—especially Gemma, Summer and our brilliant resident helper Joyce—for bringing the day to life with such care and creativity.

And finally, thank you to the residents and their families who made the event so special - it meant the world to us all.
