Happy International Women's Day from the mostly female team at Float in the Forest! 💙💙

When Sarah first came to float she had mixed emotions, because it was also the first time she'd been apart from her 9 month old child. This is quite a landmark for a new parent, and it can also be a very empowering experience, as we often see here in the float centre.

With perfect timing to celebrate International Women's Day and also the upcoming Mother's Day, we're lucky to be able to share Sarah's float story in her own words, in our latest video. Check it out...

Float your Mum happy! 😀

Let's celebrate all the fabulous Mums out there, with Mother's Day on Sunday 15th March. Floats could be an ideal gift for your Mum (or any other Mums in your life), giving her some peace, quiet and relaxation, which she may find are rare commodities!

We currently have a small number of appointments left on 15th March, so if you'd like to book for then, we recommend you do so asap to avoid disappointment.

We love our rainfall showers, and showering is a vital part of the float experience for reasons beyond just getting clean.. so we wrote a blog about it!

Our birthday isn't the only reason we're celebrating, also because we've been on the radio not once, but twice this week! 🥳🥳

Kate from BBC Gloucestershire came to visit the float centre, and had a chat with Shari about floatation.

The first half of the interview appeared on the Nicky Price show on Monday (16th Feb).

The second half aired today (Friday 20th Feb). The first part of today's show was about how water can be used as pain relief, which is very relevant since pain relief is one of the many reasons why people float.

Hello! 👋 We thought we'd introduce ourselves in case you don't know what Float in the Forest is...

We are a floatation centre based between Whitecroft and Bream in the Forest of Dean.

You float effortlessly on the surface of warm water with 550kg of Epsom salt dissolved in it. Feel weightless, relax your muscles, calm your mind... and let go.

Our float pods are spacious (bigger than a double bed), and you are in control of the pod light and door.

People float for many reasons including stress relief, pain relief, recovery from injury, to enhance sports performance, as an aid to meditation... and just for fun!

We are Shari and Will. We opened the float centre with two float pods in February 2019. We added a third pod in 2022, and now have a team of wonderful float hosts too.

We have received the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award for 5 years running.
