Once you’ve had a miscarriage,
that sadness that never really leaves.

It doesn’t stop you from living.
It doesn’t always bring tears.
Most days, no one would even know it’s there.

But it shows up in small, unexpected ways.
In dates you remember alone.
In babies who would be the same age.
In a life you imagined but never got to meet.

You move forward.
You smile.
You build joy again.

And still, there’s a part of you that stays tender.
A grief without a finish line.
Something you learn to carry,
even on the days you feel okay.

💙 CALLING DADS & FAMILIES AFFECTED BY PREGNANCY OR BABY LOSS 💙
Silent Footprints Foundation is putting together a team for an upcoming charity football tournament, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

This invitation is especially for dads who have experienced the loss of a baby, but also for family members who have been affected by baby loss — brothers, uncles, grandparents, friends — anyone who carries that love and that loss.
Football has a powerful way of bringing people together. This isn’t about ability or fitness — it’s about connection, support, remembrance, and standing shoulder to shoulder with others who understand.

⚽ The tournament will be played at Brunton Park, the Home of Carlisle United — a truly special venue and an unforgettable experience.
By pulling on the shirt, you’ll be helping raise awareness for baby loss, honouring our babies, and showing that no one has to walk this path alone.

If you’d like to play, know someone who might, or just want more information, please comment below or send us a private message.

Together, we remember. Together, we support.

Everything we raise goes towards running our ongoing peer support sessions, chaperone services and events helping everyone affected by miscarriage and baby loss at any stage.

There is nothing like us locally that provides this kind of support for all walks and types of loss.

We will have collection tins on the day also for those wanting to cash donate on the day. Would be lovely to see you come and support us and all the other brave people raising for other amazing and much needed charities and community services.

We go in the sea at 10:30am!

Thank you 🙏

Tomorrow is the day! Please give what you can and come and cheer us on if you’re free 🥰🙏

We can finally announce that 2026’s charity football match will be played on the pitch at Brunton Park – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step onto an iconic ground and play for an incredibly meaningful cause.

This match isn’t about ability or fitness. It’s about brotherhood, remembrance, and showing that even through loss, no dad has to walk alone. Whether football has always been part of your life or it’s been years since you last kicked a ball, you are welcome.

By pulling on the shirt, you’ll be helping raise awareness, break the silence around baby loss, and honour the children we carry in our hearts every day.

If you’re a dad who has been affected by baby loss and you’d like to be part of the team at Brunton Park, please comment below or send us a private message. 💙⚽
