At today's Memory Café we were joined by the children from Monkwray Junior School, who kept everyone entertained with their lovely singing 🎼
Our very own Sheila played the last post, and we held a two minutes' silence for remembrance day🎺🌺
Thanks as always to our wonderful volunteers and Whitehaven Rufc who make it possible.
The Café runs every 2 weeks 11.00am -12.30pm and is also attended by the NHS Memory Matters Team for advice and support to carers.
If you are interested in attending or would like further information, please call our office on 01946 552166.

🎃💕
🎃 “It was a rather Spooky Sort of Evening in the Hundred Acre Wood,” said Pooh thoughtfully, “but the best kind of spooky is the one you share with friends.”
So they gathered under the moon’s soft glow — Piglet a little nervous, Eeyore looking gloomy but secretly pleased, Tigger bouncing with excitement, and Pooh thinking mostly of honey cakes and friendship.
And as the lanterns flickered and the bats danced across the sky, Pooh said,
“I suppose Halloween isn’t about being afraid of the dark at all… it’s about finding light in it — like how friends make even the darkest nights feel warm and bright.”
Then Piglet smiled (just a tiny bit braver), Eeyore sighed (but stayed anyway), and Tigger laughed (as only Tigger can),
and together they decided that every night feels a little less scary when you’re surrounded by those who care. 🌕💛🍯
