Deep breaths are so important for our nervous system. They help our body to know when danger has passed, which means after moments of stress, deep breathing is essential! Stress is normal for the body it’s the same hormones as joy. So rather than avoid stress, we just need to allow rest after stress. We do this by deep belly breathing at least three times after a stressful moment, allow yourself to fully calm down again before continuing with your day! Get it a go!

Our bodies are so clever, pain is the bodies way of communicating with us. Which is why we SHOULDN'T ignore or numb our pain with pain killers. If you're experiencing any pain in the body, make a note, notice how it changes over time and bring this information with you to your kinesiology session. Then we can start peeling back those layers and see what the pain is trying to tell us!

Top tip: If you're in pain cut out the wheat, it's 99% going to be my first advice!

Seasons! Spring is almost here, how’s that making you feel? It’s important we tune into the seasons, live them all to the full and embrace the change it comes with.

But, what about those months you hate? Maybe winter? The rain? That’s a sign you’re not living in the now and embracing the day. Be more mindful, appreciate the day that arrives and make sure you bring joy to that day in some way! Eg reading a book at the window while it’s raining ☔️ get the log fire on when it’s icy outside!

Be aware of how you stand, are you slouching? Arching forward? Anything aching? It’s important we take notice of any changes in posture. To test. Stand tall, roll your shoulders back, then adjust so you feel comfortable. You may notice you slouch forward, leaning to one side or even lean backwards, pay attention to the changes in your posture and aim to have your shoulders rolled back and stand tall. If you noticed a change in your posture, it’s worth bringing it up with your kinesiologist! It means something!!

It's important to know we can't change the past, but we do need to face it. We can change our mindset around our past traumas, we all have them, no matter how big or small. Face them, process them and manage them so they don't manage you.

In our kinesiology sessions we work on emotional coaching, giving you tools and resources to combat these traumas. You are not alone!

When you really hate someone or something, be honest with yourself... are you fighting back the tears?

Hate and anger often hide the real emotion, so when you're super angry or hateful, ask yourself, what's the real problem?

Top tip: If you need to scream or shout, do it! But NEVER at someone, do it in a private place when you don't trigger someone else. It's healthy to release the emotion, and if tears come after the scream, perfect!
