New M**s, this one’s for you 🤍

If you’ve recently had a baby (or are counting down the days until they arrive) and you’re craving some calm, connection and a cup of tea that’s actually hot… I’ve got you.

✨ Baby Massage – January bookings now open
✨ Baby Yoga & Mama Mindfulness – waitlist now live

Both held at PaddlePod, Shiremoor.

My Baby Massage classes are perfect for babies from 6 weeks to actively crawling. Yes, they help with wind, sleep, teething and tummy troubles, but they’re not just for baby. They’re for you too.

Each class includes:
→ Simple massage routines you can actually use at home
→ Therapist-led check-ins (because your nervous system matters too)
→ A cosy, no-pressure space where being late, flustered and covered in mystery stains is totally normal
→ A chance to connect with other M**s in the same era as you
→ A hot drink, a biscuit and a deep breath out

I created this class because I remember how intense those early months can feel and I wanted to build something that holds you through the whole experience of new motherhood, not just the naps and nappies bit.

And if your little one’s getting wrigglier, or you’re craving a bit more movement, calm and connection for both of you, my brand new class is coming in January too:

💛 Baby Yoga & Mama Mindfulness
Gentle stretches for baby. Grounding mindfulness for you.

A space to reconnect with your body, catch your breath and feel a little more like you again.

The waitlist is open and already filling. You can find the link to join either class below.

Birth partners mean well, but often have noooo idea what they’re doing.

If your birth partner’s current strategy is: “You just tell me what to do and I’ll do it,” you’re both in for a rude awakening when things get real.

Because when you’re in full on contraction mode, you will not be in the mood to delegate.

So here are 5 questions to ask your partner now so they can actually show up in labour:

1️⃣ “Do you know how I show stress AND what helps me feel safe?
They need to know your early warning signs.
Snappy tone? Going quiet? Zoned out?

Recognising that *and* knowing how to gently support you (without trying to “fix” you) is essential.

2️⃣”What would you say if someone offered me an intervention I hadn’t planned for?”
A good birth partner can pause the room.

They don’t need to speak for you, they just need to protect your space long enough for you to make an informed choice.

Teach them to ask:
→ “Is this an emergency, or can we have a moment to talk?”

→ “What are the pros, cons and alternatives?”

3️⃣”Do you know what kind of support I might want at each stage of labour?”
Early labour? You might want space and snacks.

Transition? You might need eye contact and calm breathing.

They should know what’s likely and be flexible if you change your mind.

4️⃣”Can you explain what we’ve decided around pain relief, birth preferences and the kind of vibe I want?”

If they can’t explain it to you, they won’t be able to explain it under pressure.

Make sure they’re not just nodding along, they need to understand the “why” behind your preferences too.

5️⃣”How are *you* preparing to stay calm and grounded on the day?”

A good birth partner preps their mindset too.

They learn the basics of labour, practice techniques to support you and know what to do if you panic (so they don’t)

If you’re thinking Holly, we haven’t covered most of this yet, do not panic.

I cover all this and more in The Confident Birth Club. Comment confident and I’ll pop you the link 🤍

It always starts with one innocent question. Like ‘how do contractions actually feel?’

But you’re not actually looking for answers to that.
You’re looking for *reassurance*

So next time you find yourself deep in a rabbit hole of “how bad do contractions get,” try this:

Say out loud: “What do I actually need right now?”

Because chances are, it’s not another Mumsnet horror story.

It’s to feel calm, in control and like you’ll know what to do when that first contraction hits.

That doesn’t come from scrolling. It comes from practicing tools that help you stay grounded, no matter how your birth unfolds.

That’s what I teach inside The Confident Birth Club.

So if you’re ready to swap “how to handle contractions” for a clear birth toolkit, comment CONFIDENT and I’ll whizz you the link

You don’t need to go into birth knowing everything.
But you do deserve to understand what’s being offered and why.

So many of the pregnant women I work with leave their midwife appointments feeling more confused than when they walked in.

They wanted to feel calm and informed.
Instead? They walked out with a half explained sweep booked for next week and no idea if they could say no.

That’s why I put together 5 days of FREE birth prep.

To give you the confidence to ask questions, explore your options and stop second-guessing yourself every time something’s suggested.

Because you’re not “too much.”
You’re just trying to advocate for yourself in a system that doesn’t always make that easy.

And I promise, with the right support, you can feel ready.

POV: you’re about to Google “how to survive labour” for the 14th time but you found this post instead.

I asked what actually helped with pain in labour… and these were the most common answers Mums gave.

From TENS machines to tennis balls, gas and air to “one less contraction to go” it’s all in the post.

This isn’t about finding the best tool.
It’s about knowing you’ve got options and understanding how to actually use them when the time comes.

Because the goal isn’t to feel fearless.
It’s to feel prepared.

Inside The Confident Birth Club, I teach you how to use tools like these (and loads more) in the moment, so your brain doesn’t go blank the second a contraction hits.

Comment CONFIDENT below and I’ll whizz you the link to join the waitlist.

We start soon and in just 4 weeks, you’ll go from “I hope I can handle it” to actually knowing how to breathe, move and think your way through labour (no matter how it unfolds)
