Can you help please?

Are you or do you know a gas heating engineer?

The heating system in our centre is not working properly and now that the weather is getting colder we need someone to come and look at it as soon as possible please.
This would be paid work.

We would really like to pay someone from our community to do this work

This is for a paid job ! We would prefer to have a local builder preferably a Sparcs Community parent/carer or family member would be great 👍
We would need someone who is available to come to the centre in Whitley Bay as soon as possible this week to give us a quote

Help Us Brighten Up Our New Home!

We are thrilled to announce that SPARCS has just moved into our new building in Whitley Bay! To make our new home welcoming and vibrant for the autistic and neurodivergent young people we support, we are reaching out to our community for donations of paint to freshen up a couple of our rooms.

Our Request:

We need donations of paint to help us create a warm and inviting space for our amazing young people.

SPARCS has been working with local artists from the Home Thoughts Project at Big Local. As part of this project some of our young people who attend our sessions have made lanterns which will form part of the Lightwaves Festival at St Pauls Church in Whitley Bay which is on this Saturday, 15th Feb, 5.30-9pm

We have been kindly offered the opportunity to raise vital funds for SPARCS through the lanterns that our young people have made
We are looking for individuals and businesses who would be willing to sponsor a lantern at the festival.
If you are able to sponsor a lantern or you know someone who would be willing to help please email sparcs@yahoo.com

It has been a difficult 6 months for SPARCS, due to a lack of grant funding.
We have kept our timetable running and will continue to do so.
However, we have had some sad and very unexpected news shared with us from the team at the Big Local regarding our tenancy. We love being based at the Big Local and feel we compliment each others charitable values well. Our hope is that we can work together to continue to call the Big Local our home.
However, we need to be realistic and prepare for changes, whether that is an increase in rent or continuing at a new home.

SPARCS facts
*we support almost 100 neurodivergent young people per week
*we are a registered charity
*we run entirely with volunteers
*we only charge the very minimum we can to attend sessions and subsidise many young people each week.
*we provide free meals at our sessions
* we have full governance and constitution
*all volunteers are trained in line with guidance and have skill set in the areas they support

We are asking you to consider supporting us by
* liking and sharing our Go Fund me on social media to help with reach
* by making a financial donation
* sharing to any businesses who might be interested in supporting SPARCS
* writing a testimonial. What does SPARCS mean to your young person and to you.
