π« ANTI BULLYING WEEK - 10-14th NOVEMBER π«
This week is Anti Bullying Week.
Every year, The Anti-Bullying Alliance is the force behind this campaign to raise awareness of Bullying, it's impact and importantly the support that is available.
We have shared their video below which emphasises this year's theme 'Change For Good' and the message that we all have our part to play in identifying and reporting bullying. This is vital in our SEND community as many of our children and young people are vulnerable and unable to communicate any threat or concern.

'1 in 3 young people being bullied suffer in silence' - A disturbing fact shared from the Kooth website. Kooth have recently teamed up with The Diana Award, a leading youth charity, to raise awareness of bullying and to encourage young people being bullied to tell a trusted adult and reach out for support.
There are lots of resources and online support available for children and young people via Kooth and their platforms. Check out their services and anti-bullying support here:

Specifically for our SEND community, Kooth's digital mental health service is uniquely suited to neurodiverse young people:
'Our text based chat support means no eye contact is needed, we are accessible at home, in private - no noisy waiting room or busy journey to make in order to talk to someone, and the asynchronous messaging between the young person and one of Kooth's mental health experts allows them to take time to consider how they express themselves.'
