Everyone who know us, knows how much we love to talk! its such an important part of our working day, sharing conversation together to take a moment to pause and reflect on the beautiful, funny, and heartwarming moments that have shaped the lives of our wonderful Service Users 💫
Everyone enjoys talking sharing their memories and this can often break up a lonely day, been given precious time to talk about a memory that brings a smile to their face, and usually lots of giggles or a moment that taught them something profound. These snippets of life are the fabric of who we all are and we would love to share some of these beautiful memories and photographs with you, we thought it would be lovely to do a weekly midweek memories post, and this week we are sharing memories from our lovely Jo, who lived in Spain and often talks about her beautiful home which she spent with her husband and pet dog and family visited often,
she made so many friends at her time in Spain, and loved her villa where memories were made forever xx

Shoutout to the Men Who Care on International Men's Day!
Today, November 19th, is International Men's Day, and we want to shine a spotlight on the incredible men who are a vital part of our team, the families we support, and the wider community.
The theme this year is "Celebrating Men and Boys". In the care sector, which has traditionally been seen as female-led, our male carers demonstrate every day how important diversity and balance are in delivering truly person-centred care.
To our brilliant new member of the team Neil:
We celebrate your empathy, commitment, and unique perspectives that make a real, lasting difference in the lives of those we support.
You provide companionship and support, and help our service users maintain their independence.
You make a positive difference to the well-being and lives of the people you care for, bringing comfort and a sense of safety.
Your dedication doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for showing up consistently and leading with kindness and compassion.
To the Men in Our Families and Communities:
We also want to acknowledge the vital roles men play as fathers ❤️brothers❤️partners ❤️sons❤️friends❤️and mentors❤️Our wonderful male family members support our team to enable us to keep working and providing our amazing care to other families 💫 as well as male healthcare professionals and training providers ❤️

International Men's Day is an opportunity to promote a positive conversation about men, manhood, and masculinity and to address the health challenges men face, particularly around mental health.
It is important to remember that it's OK to talk about your struggles. If you or a man you know is finding things tough, support is available.

We at Personal Choice Carers are so focused on nutrition and hydration and believe that enjoying your favourite foods is a key part of comfort and care. That's why our amazing team doesn't just heat microwave we believe in choice for our lovely Service Users 🤩
From classic roast dinners to specific cultural dishes or simple comfort foods, we tailor our cooking to individual tastes and dietary needs.
Our lovely Jennie loves cooking healthy meals and we really enjoying planning her meals with her, looking through her cook books together and supporting her to cook the meals she chooses, we’ve all took her recipes home and cooked them for our families! and everyone agrees Jennie’s meals are absolutely delicious! 😋

On behalf of Personal Choice Carers at Home we welcome you, your family and friends.

We are an independent, family run agency who through personal experience saw the need for a return to the old-fashioned principles of care.

We understand how overwhelming it can be when first starting to look for care for a loved one. Having been through this experience we are here to give you the support that you need to have peace of mind that when you cannot be there, we are providing the care that you would expect for your loved one.
