We’ve helped secure £5,000 of funding to support the much‑loved VIBE Upton Youth Club through 2026–27, helping it continue to offer positive activities and a safe, supportive space for local young people.

The funding comes from the Travis Perkins Legacy Fund, using social value funding that supports community projects making a real difference. Alongside backing from the Community Safety Partnership Halton, it shows a strong commitment from local partners to investing in young people and the Upton community.

A big thank you to Travis Perkins and everyone involved in supporting youth services in the area.👏

💷 Our Welfare Benefits and Money Advice team supported more than 1,100 customers during 2025/26, helping deliver over £1.3 million in financial gains. 👏

From benefits advice and debt support to help with fuel costs and school uniforms, the team continues to make a real difference by improving affordability and helping customers sustain their tenancies. 🙌

During 2025 to 2026, the Welfare Benefits and Money Advice team supported over 1,100 customers, delivered more than £1.3 million in financial gains, and provided targeted help with benefits, fuel costs, debt, and hardship to improve affordability and sustain tenancies.

💜 Community coming together for Halton Haven Hospice 💜

As our chosen charity for 2025-26, we committed to overseeing and resourcing the refurbishment of Halton Haven Hospice’s lounge. What began as a call for help from local tradespeople and businesses has quickly blossomed into a wave of kindness.

From skilled tradespeople offering their expertise, to local shops donating furnishings and paint, every contribution played a vital part in transforming the space for patients and their families.

🥦 Free healthy lifestyle programme – register your interest now!

We’re working with Educate Your Plate to bring a free 6‑week healthy lifestyle programme to Ditton Community Centre for adults living in the Kingsway / Stewards Avenue area.

The sessions explore how food affects health and wellbeing, everyday food choices, budgeting and building realistic habits that last.

Sessions run every Wednesday from 22nd April to 20th May from 12.30-2.00pm with a final family friendly session on Saturday 23rd May where children are welcome to come along :-)

What's more - attend all six sessions and receive a free cookery package, including items such as a slow cooker and kitchen essentials to use at home.

We're really pleased to share that we have been shortlisted for the 2026 Northern Housing Awards in the Best Approach to Decarbonisation category. It’s a fantastic recognition of the hard work our teams put in every day to make sustainability part of how we operate as an organisation.

This shortlist isn’t about a single project. It reflects how we’re improving the energy efficiency of our homes, supporting customers with practical advice, planning ahead for future climate risks and making sure colleagues feel confident making sustainable choices in their day‑to‑day work.

Our recent SHIFT Gold accreditation is another sign of the progress we’re making.
We’ll find out in June whether we’ve won, but for now it’s great to see our commitment to greener, more resilient homes and communities being recognised.
