🎉 Theme of the Week: Zigzag Party! 🎉

This week in Pre-K, we’re learning through movement as children explore zigzag patterns with music and creative play. These activities support early brain development by helping children understand right and left, follow sequences, and make connections that are important for language and early literacy.

✨ AAP milestones:
• Distinguishing between right & left
• Understanding sequences (putting steps in order)
• Pointing to letters and numerals when named

Playful movement builds confident learners — and we’re having lots of fun along the way! 💛

Cartwheeling and reading readiness? In the gym, Cartwheels and cross lateral movements help develop essential skills for reading by integrating brain function, building spatial awareness and improving focus 🧘‍♀️ At home Reading to children significantly boosts their vocabulary and language skills, with daily readers hearing up to a million more words by age five than non-readers, creating a "million word gap" that impacts later academic success, as higher reading exposure positively correlates with brain regions for language. Reading for pleasure and having books at home are also key, linking to better reading attainment, comprehension, writing, and overall confidence.
