Over the past few weeks I have again had the chance to talk to customer facing teams working at the ico, about how best to respond when a caller talks of Suicidal thoughts.

The nature of these calls can be highly impactful on your totally untrained team.

Question such as:

Did I say the wrong thing?

Could I have done more?

What will happen now?

Will they be all right?

I hope that after our time together the team at the “ico” will feel they have done their best, that’s all we can ever ask of anyone.
