Having suffered with long COVID since being hospitalized with COVID early 2021 this is a condition extremely close to my heart. Please help raise awareness if this debilitating condition.

ME Awareness Week is almost upon us and this year, from 9th to 15th May, we'll be asking you to make .

It's the thirtieth anniversary of the event and – with Long Covid rampant round the world – the number of people being diagnosed with ME/CFS is growing exponentially day-by-day.

There are said to be 1.7million people in the UK alone who, months after being infected, still have symptoms of Long Covid, which in so many respects looks just like ME/CFS.

Please do something to help the ME Association meet the challenge of supporting these ever-growing numbers now and in the years ahead.

Unfortunately, the recent shortage of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medications isn't the only drug shortage affecting UK-based pharmacies at the moment. A recent chlorphenamine maleate shortage has meant that many pharmacies have run out of certain hay fever medicines, just as weather forecasters warn of high pollen levels over the coming days and weeks.

It's estimated that the shortage will affect many of the 16 million people across the UK who suffer from hay fever. However, it is believed that the shortage will be short-lived with new deliveries expected in the coming weeks.

We have access to the entire open market of pharmacy suppliers and will always endeavor to obtain your medication or advise on a suitable alternative!

I had the amazing honor of representing the hard work of community pharmacists during the pandemic at St. James’s palace.
Here I was selected to be on the first table to meet HRH Prince Charles. It was surreal to speak to him directly and shake his hand. I made sure he knew I was a scouser to which he laughed and said ‘well I never would have known’ haha. He asked me about staffing issues and work force pressures and COVID vaccinations. This is one of the most proudest moments of my life and one myself, my colleagues at the event and my amazing wife (who waited patiently for me in our apartment) will never forget.

Really proud to announce that Appleton Village Pharmacy received a prestigious Enterprise award at the Pharmacy Business Awards in London Wednesday 23rd March 2022. This was for the vaccination programme that we set up in January 2021, and for the ongoing COVID vaccination service we still provide today, while maintaining and keeping the pharmacy service open and helping regular pharmacy patients.
It was a pleasure to accept this award on behalf of all the team. Martin and I are incredibly proud of what we have achieved and this award shows our efforts are valued and recognised by the wider pharmacy community.

Exciting news - work has begun on developing our new pharmacy!! We will be in almost exactly the same location (a little bit to the right of where we are now!). The pharmacy will be state of the art and a big update from our current premises! The area will also be beautifully landscaped. In the meantime we will continue to give you the excellent service you expect and get from our pharmacy!
