Flu is spreading, you can help stop the spread by:
• Washing your hands regularly
• Catching coughs and sneezes in a tissue
• Minimising contact with others
• Getting vaccinated if you are eligible

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 25th November.

Every ten minutes, a woman is killed. International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women raises awareness about all forms of violence against women. Wear orange as a bright and optimistic colour; this represents hope and a future free from violence against women and girls.

Join Hindley Health Centre in wearing blue to raise awareness for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Week! 💙

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) can affect anyone — even people who haven’t taken antibiotics. Healthy individuals can carry and pass on resistant bacteria 🦠

AMR also threatens many modern medical procedures, including surgery and cancer treatments.

AMR is now one of the world’s biggest public health threats, contributing to millions of deaths each year. This is why raising awareness is so important.

What can YOU do to help? 🙋‍♀️

❌ Do NOT take antibiotics for colds or flu.

❌ Do NOT save leftover antibiotics.
They will not be effective and can be harmful.

✅ Only take antibiotics exactly as prescribed by your GP, nurse, or pharmacist.

✅ Always complete the full course of treatment, even if you start to feel better.

✅ Prevent infections through good hygiene and keeping up to date with vaccinations.
