🚲 Volunteer Opportunity – Clifton Street Bike Library🚲

Calling all local residents! We’re looking for a volunteer to help open and run the Clifton Street Bike Library, an already established community resource.

📍 Family Hubs, Clifton Street
🗓 1st Thursday of every month
⏰ 2pm – 4pm

The long-term goal has always been for this to become a community-led Bike Library, helping local people access bikes and stay active. There will always be support from Be Well and the Communities Team to ensure the library continues to grow and be successful.

If you’re interested in volunteering or would like to find out more, please get in touch with Richard on Richard.Smith1@wigan.gov.uk

Polite Notice to Patients:

We have seen an increase in incidents of abusive language directed toward our reception team, both at the front desk and over the telephone.

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all patients and staff. Our reception team works hard to assist everyone promptly and professionally. We understand that contacting or visiting a medical practice can sometimes be stressful; however, we kindly remind all patients that we operate a zero-tolerance policy toward verbal abuse, aggressive language, or threatening behaviour.

Any patient who speaks abusively to staff either in person or on the telephone may be asked to end the conversation or leave the premises, and continued incidents may result in further action.

We appreciate your cooperation, understanding, and courtesy. Treating one another with respect helps us provide the best possible care for everyone.

Thank you for your support.

Bereavement Notice for Patients🕊️

It is with deep sadness that we inform our patients, colleagues and friends of the recent passing of Dr Ansar Zaman, who was a valued and respected GP who founded the practice. He will be remembered for his compassion, professionalism and commitment to providing excellent care to all throughout his years of practice.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Dr Zaman’s family, friends and all who knew him.
