🐉✨ Happy St George’s Day from Tou-can Stay & Play! ✨🐉
This morning we had lots of fun celebrating St George’s Day with the children – full of laughter, play, and a few very brave little knights and princesses! ❤️🤍

Did you know?
• St George is the patron saint of England
• He is best known for the legend of defeating a dragon 🐲
• St George’s Day is celebrated every year on 23rd April

We love bringing little themes like this into our sessions to spark imagination and make playtime even more special!
As you’ll see in our video, there’s been plenty of giggles, exploring, and some very funny moments today – we always say no two sessions are ever the same! 😄

Claire wasn’t quite sure how to set up the room at first, but thanks to the amazing support from our parents and carers, everything came together beautifully 🙌
Your kindness and teamwork really made a difference today! So we’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped set up this morning – it means so much, especially when someone is stepping in to lead for the first time 💐😊
Today we celebrated National Pet Day 🐾 – as you’ll see from our lovely photos! It’s a great reminder of the joy and love pets bring into our lives, and also a chance to think about the many animals in shelters still waiting for their forever homes 🏡🙏
A special shout-out as well to all the grandparents, aunties, uncles, and carers who step in during the school holidays to look after little ones whilst their parents/carers go to work 💼 – we truly appreciate everything you do 💖
It was also so lovely to see older siblings joining us this week too due to the school holidays ☀️
One of the best things about our group is the community spirit – everyone supports one another, and it really shows ❤️

Lee’s been down at Sunshine House Wigan today filming one of the Tou-Can sessions… and it says everything...

Parents opening up. Kids just being kids. Real conversations, real support, real impact.

This is what community looks like when it’s done properly. Not a tick-box exercise, not a report on a shelf… actual people supporting one another.

We’re pulling this together into a video to show funders exactly why these sessions matter, but honestly, you don’t need a report to see it. You just need to be in the room.

We run 2 Tou-Can groups, a welcoming and inclusive playgroup for parents (and grandparents) with young children hosted in Ince Community Centre and Sunshine ...
