🌙 Night Emergency Access Intensive Housing Manager

We’re looking for a committed and compassionate individual to join our team as a Night Emergency Access Intensive Housing Manager, helping to deliver and grow our emergency accommodation services across Wigan and Leigh.

In this vital role, you will:
Support the day-to-day delivery and development of our emergency accommodation provision.

Build strong, trusting relationships with people using the service and with key partner organisations.

Help ensure a safe, secure and supportive place to stay for people facing homelessness.

Play a key role in responding to crisis and supporting people during some of their most challenging moments.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference while working as part of a dedicated team supporting people experiencing homelessness.

🎄🎁 Too many socks this Christmas? Turn them into something AMAZING! 🧦✨

If you’ve unwrapped one pair too many and they’re destined for the drawer, why not regift with purpose and help someone in need right here in our community?

🧦 We’re always in need of new essentials such as socks, hats, gloves, underwear, and toiletries to support our Outreach teams and people staying in our emergency accommodation. These small items make a huge difference.

ℹ️ We are closed for shopping on Wednesday, but donations are very welcome — just ring the bell!

This Christmas, we’re making a full festive dinner for all our residents — because everyone deserves warmth, dignity and a proper Christmas meal.🍽️

But we urgently need help gathering the food to make it happen.

We’re looking for low cost or donations of:
🥕 8kg carrots
🥦 8kg sprouts
🌼 30 cauliflowers
🥦 30 broccoli
🥔 20kg potatoes
🥓 180 pigs in blankets
🥕 Parsnips (10 bags, frozen)

Store cupboard items:
🍽️ 4 x gravy granules
🍞 10 large boxes of stuffing
🍽️ Silver trays for transporting food

Meat:
🍖 Large ham
🦃 Large turkey
🥩 Large beef

Vegetarian option:
🌱 Quorn vegetarian roast

If you can help by donating any veg or meat, we would be incredibly grateful. Your support means our residents can sit down to a proper Christmas dinner — something many haven’t had in years.

We’re so proud to share that our team has been recognised at the WWL Star Awards. 🧡
Every day we deliver trauma-informed nursing care, from wound care, screening, and health checks to advocacy, medication support and helping people access mainstream services to reduce health inequalities.

Huge thank you to Carla, Katy and Lisa Ball for believing in our service and supporting us to innovate, grow, and push for better outcomes for those who are too often left behind.

We are increasing our portfolio of bank staff for winter - are you interested in a flexible role, helping us out in our emergency accommodation? It's about to get cold, 🥶 and we need to get people off the streets. Are you compassionate, supportive and want to make a difference to people's lives? Perfect for anyone wanting to do something good in the local community, students (18+) coming for Christmas, or just for earning some extra pennies! We are a real living wage employer and pay £12.60 per hour. Shifts will be evenings, and are fully flexible around commitments.

Last night, on World Homelessness Day, the Health Outreach Inclusion Service won the Committee Nominated Award at the Wigan and Leigh Hospice Palliative and End of Life Care Awards 💛

This award celebrates the powerful collaboration between our team and the Hospice, working together to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to compassionate and dignified end-of-life care.

We’re truly honoured and proud to be recognised for breaking barriers and advocating for those who are often unheard. ♥️

And a special mention to Leeanne, who was shortlisted and continues to shine through her dedication and advocacy for patients, ensuring vital end-of-life care discussions take place. 🌟
