Care Choice North West is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is a great opportunity to start your career, gain valuable experience and complete a Level 3 NVQ while working in a fast paced, supportive office.

What you’ll do
• General admin, filing, scanning and data entry
• Support recruitment tasks, interviews and candidate admin
• Help with marketing content and social media tasks
• Attend meetings, take notes and follow up on actions
• Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues
• Keep records up to date and organised

What we’re looking for
• Interest in business admin and learning new skills
• Good communication and organisation
• GCSEs or equivalent

We’re Hiring
Care Plan Assessor, Full Time

📍 Based in Wigan
🚗 Must drive and have NVQ L2 or Equivalent
🕐 Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Care Choice North West is looking for a confident and organised Care Plan Assessor to join our team. You’ll complete new assessments, create person centred care plans, update client records, and work closely with hospitals, GPs, district nurses and social workers to make sure every service user receives the right support.

You’ll also take part in our out of hours rota one weekend per month, with extra payment and rest days.

What you’ll do
• Complete new assessments across our areas
• Create and update person centred care plans
• Transfer and maintain accurate client information
• Liaise with hospitals, GPs, nurses and families
• Support general office duties and admin
• Follow a rolling 4 week shift pattern including one weekend in the pattern and 2 on call nights.

What we’re looking for
• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care or equivalent
• Previous care experience preferred
• Strong written skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicating with professionals
• Full UK driving licence and own transport

Medication and field auditor

📍 Location, Wigan, head office with community visits
🕐 Hours, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
🚗 Must drive and have at least 1 year of health and social care experience
💊 Medication experience required

We are looking for a confident and organised Medication and Field Auditor to join our team at Care Choice North West. This role is central to maintaining high standards of safety and quality across medication and community practice.

What you will do

• Complete medication audits, both planned and unplanned
• Carry out field based spot checks to support carers
• Update and maintain accurate medication administration records
• Complete medication reviews and medication risk assessments
• Order and collect medication from GP surgeries, mental health teams and pharmacies
• Deliver medication to commissioned clients, around 10 service users
• Support carers in the community with medication related queries
• Record findings, highlight concerns and support quality improvements

The role

🗓 Rolling 4 week shift pattern

Week 1, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Week 2, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm
Week 3, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4pm
Week 4, Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm

On call
• Two weekday on calls per month
• Weekend on call shared between three office staff
• Extra payment plus two rest days in the week after any weekend on call

What we are looking for

• Minimum 1 year experience in health and social care
• Medication experience is essential
• Strong communication skills with professionals such as GPs, hospitals and social workers
• Good organisational skills and confident working independently
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport

Christmas is nearly here and while it’s an exciting time for many, it can also be tough for some families. This year, we’re proud to support Fur Clement with a food and gift donation drive.

We’re collecting “Christmassy” food items like:
• Biscuits
• Chocolate
• Mince pies
• Nuts
• Tinned food
• Crisps
• Custard

Fur Clement has also shared that teenagers are often overlooked in donations, so if you can, please consider gifts such as:
• Socks
• Bath or shower hampers
• Chargers
• Headphones
• Any small gift a teenager would enjoy

All donations need to be dropped off at the Care Choice Head office by Friday 8th December.
