We are thrilled to announce that we won "Best GP Practice Display" during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🏆🎀

We had a great time putting together our display, including our famous "bra balloon", and taking some fun photos. 🎈📸

While we enjoyed the creative side, the message is serious: we want to remind all our patients about the importance of regular self-checks.

Early detection is key!

A massive well done and congratulations to Sharon Chamley, Practice Manager and team who created a wonderful display for their patients to help raise awareness about the importance of breast screening and about being "Breast Aware".

New venue and date!!!

We’re excited to share details of "Coffee, Cake and Care" on Friday, 26th November 2025. This brand-new initiative is all about bringing people together in a warm and welcoming space to enjoy friendly conversation, a slice of cake, and the chance to share experiences with others who understand.

It’s a supportive environment where you can connect, chat, and know you’re not alone. Whether you’re directly affected by breast cancer or supporting someone who is, we’d love you to join us.

To make it even more accessible, Coffee, Cake and Care will rotate between Bolton, Chorley and Wigan – so there will always be a session near you.

Today also marks the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month, so this is a gentle reminder to take a minute today to check your breasts.

A lump in the breast is the most common symptom of breast cancer, but there are others to look for:

• thickening of the skin or tissue of the breast

• dimpling of the skin of the breast

• a lump or swelling in either armpit

• a change in the shape or size of the breast, such as swelling in all or part of the breast

• a ni**le turning in (inverted ni**le)

• an eczema-like rash on the ni**le

• discharge or bleeding from the ni**le

• pain or discomfort in the breast that does not go away – but this is rare.

We understand that showing any symptoms of what could be cancer is worrying. The most important thing is to speak to your GP as soon as possible.

We have female clinicians who can see you if you feel more comfortable.
