Can you believe it’s been a year since we launched our 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 sessions? 🗓️

We are committed to providing the best possible care, and your feedback is the most valuable tool we have to make that happen. Whether you have a suggestion for improvement or want to let us know what is working well, we want to hear from you!

Join us at Edge Hall Road Community Stadium on Saturday 17th January (10am-12pm) for a Free Women’s Health and Wellbeing Day!

Hosted by NHS Greater Manchester and both Wigan Warriors Women and Wigan Athletic Women teams.

Come along for activities, advice, and information about improving your health and wellbeing including NHS drop-in sessions, health checks, Wigan Council Be Well services, NHS cancer screening teams, Epic Hope, Sexual Health services, and much more… For women of all ages and stages, there will be something to support you staying healthy 😊

Short wellbeing and yoga taster sessions will run throughout the morning, alongside opportunities to learn about current and future activities and services at Edge Hall Road.

There will also be an exciting meet and engage with staff, players, and partners from Wigan Warriors Women and Wigan Athletic Women, including Q&A sessions and light activities.

👁️ Look After Your Eyes 👁️

If you start seeing flashes ⚡️or new floaters across your eyes 👀 or have a sudden change in vision, or red or painful eyes or eyelids - would you know where to go ?

If you live in Greater Manchester and are registered with a GP 🏥 you can book an assessment with the Urgent Eye Care Service. This is a NHS service, made up of local opticians 👓

Once you have made your appointment, they will assess you and if needed provide you with treatment too.

Brrr! ❄️ No such thing as bad weather—just the wrong clothes!

A huge well done to our intrepid Marus Bridge Practice walkers who braved the bitterly cold temperatures this week 🧤🧣

Despite the chill, it was fantastic to see everyone out, catching up, and getting those steps in together with our Practice Nurse Charlotte.

The fresh air was definitely worth it! Thank you to everyone who joined us and kept the conversation going. See you all next time—stay warm!

✨ Clinic Success! ✨

A huge thank you to the 14 wonderful ladies who attended our smear test drop-in clinic this evening! 🩺💖

All of those who visited were either due or overdue for their screenings. We heard many reasons for the delay—from being too busy with life’s demands to feeling a little nervous and putting it off. Some patients even shared that our persistent reminders were exactly what they needed to finally walk through the door!

We know life is incredibly busy, but taking those few minutes for your health is so important. We are so proud of you all for prioritising yourselves tonight.
