Our attendees gain hands-on, real-life work experience in our fully equipped wood workshop, and their progress has been amazing. From learning to measure, saw, and drill safely to creating fantastic, finished pieces like chairs and birdhouses, everyone has shown incredible focus, teamwork, and creativity. Each project helps build practical skills, confidence, and pride in what they can achieve. It’s brilliant to see everyone growing and developing in a real workshop environment.

This week, our attendees have been busy preparing delicious homemade soup and sandwiches as part of their food preparation sessions. From peeling and chopping fresh vegetables to carefully cooking and serving their meals, everyone demonstrated great focus, teamwork, and dedication. The end result was a nutritious and hearty lunch. These sessions not only encourage practical cooking skills, but also build confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement. Well done to everyone involved!

We’ve had an incredible day celebrating Halloween with lots of frightful fun and games, from ‘Wrap the Mummy’ to ‘Buckets of Gunge’! Our delicious chippy lunch was a real treat, and our Bongo’s inspired bingo made a thrilling return by popular demand. Everyone looked boo-tiful in their fancy dress and congratulations to our best-dressed winners and all our game champions! A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the Halloween fun, you truly made it a fang-tastic day!

What an amazing time we've had this morning taking part in our very own Halloween Bongo Bingo inspired event! It wasn’t your average bingo, we turned up the energy with great music, laughter, dancing, and plenty of prizes! Numbers came with their own tune, creating a fantastic atmosphere full of fun.

Our talented textiles group has been getting creative and festive, making these beautiful fabric pumpkins decorated with flowers, twine, and autumn flair! Everyone worked very hard, stitching, stuffing, gluing, and adding their personal touches with fantastic results.

We’ve been busy in the kitchen learning how to make delicious homemade sausage rolls and just look at the results. From mixing and rolling to filling and glazing, everyone got hands-on and showed some amazing skills. Fresh out of the oven, golden, flaky, and mouth-watering, we’re really proud of how they turned out. Well done to everyone involved!

After weeks of creativity, laughter, and hard work, we’ve watched the premier of our first production and we're proud to share the final cut of our scenes inspired by the hit TV series. Our amazing textiles group has created this stunning autumn-inspired dress. Each attendee worked independently to print beautiful leaves in rich autumn colours, and together they've combined their work into this incredible garment. The creativity and teamwork shine through every detail, huge congratulations to all involved.

In our recent art session, everyone got their hands dirty (in the best way!) sculpting pumpkins and leaves from clay. Each unique piece, from bumpy pumpkins to delicate autumn leaves, came together to form a beautiful, collaborative clay pumpkin patch! Huge congratulations to all involved.

What a night to remember! Our latest Awards night at St Williams Social Club Ince, was truly the best yet! We had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible achievements of our attendees, who each received well-deserved recognition along with photographs capturing special memories from the past year, perfect for sharing with family and friends. The evening was full of fun and energy, thanks to the fantastic Mascot Mania DJ and entertainment, who kept us entertained from start to finish! The venue looked absolutely amazing, a big thank you to Wigan Events & Soft Play for the beautiful decorations that brought the whole night to life. Guests enjoyed a delicious hot buffet, provided by Cassidy Catering, a big thank you for the amazing food! A very special thank you goes to Lee Jukes of Elite electrical NW LTD for kindly sponsoring the event. Your support made the night extra special. Huge congratulations to all our award recipients and our lucky raffle prize winners, your hard work and participation make our community what it is! We thoroughly enjoyed participating in our own version of The Chase today, where our team successfully worked together to win an impressive £180,000. Teamwork, knowledge, and strategy helped us beat the chaser and make it a truly memorable afternoon.

We have harvested the carrots planted in spring for our carrot-growing competition. Our gardening group had planted and labelled their own seeds. Each participant inspected their carrots to guess which might be the largest before carefully pulling them from the soil. We then measured and recorded the results. The competition was a success, with everyone growing well-shaped carrots. Huge congratulations to Roman the winner of the largest carrot at 23cm!
