Our sea-inspired dress is a collaborative effort! Each of us made our own swirls, and together they’ve come together into one unique design, which is simply stunning.

What a flipping fantastic time we had celebrating Shrove Tuesday! There was lots of mixing, flipping, and taste testing as we made delicious pancakes. From creating the batter to mastering the perfect flip, we had some brilliant chefs in action! Topped with chocolate spread and whipped cream, the pancakes went down a treat.

Our gardening group has been busy getting everything ready for spring! We’ve been preparing seed beds, planting a lovely seasonal mix of seeds and chitting our potatoes so they’re ready for planting. Now we can’t wait to see the first signs of growth, roll on spring!

Our art group have been working on landscape drawings, focusing on perspective, and finishing them with watercolour. Everyone did an amazing job and the final pieces look fantastic.

We’ve been getting creative with textiles, crafting handmade cushions inspired by the upcoming Valentine’s Day. From cutting heart shapes to sewing and adding textured details, everyone has been fully involved in every step of the process with the final outcomes looking absolutely fantastic.

Behind the scenes of our latest photography sessions! Our attendees have been getting hands-on with new cameras purchased using money raised from last year’s fundraising raffles and the results so far have been fantastic. They’ve been learning the basic camera functions, experimenting with lighting and angles, and putting those skills into practice through their first projects: a fruit still life and the wonderfully creepy head’s theme. From careful composition to dramatic lighting, these early shoots have already produced some amazing images. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to share a full gallery of their work very soon. Watch this space!

We are saddened to share the news that, following a period of illness, one of our attendees has passed away. Michael was known to those who knew him as a kind, friendly, thoughtful, and gentle man, and he will be deeply missed.
The family would like people to know that the funeral will be held at Charnock Richard Crematorium, Preston Road, PR7 5JP, on Monday 2nd February at 1.30pm.

We’re loving our music sessions with Casa Canto! From singing and dancing to playing percussion instruments, these fully inclusive sessions are set to our favourite tracks and enjoyed by everyone. Huge thanks to Becky and James for another fantastic afternoon.

What a year it’s been! As we say goodbye to this year, we want to celebrate the amazing people who made it such a success, our passionate staff, the individuals we support, their families and everyone who supports our work. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

What a wonderful festive week it’s been! From Christmas dinners and games to music, dancing, movies, and our own interpretation of Bongo Bingo, there was something for everyone. Hot chocolate in our winter wonderland added the perfect finishing touch to a week full of festive fun.

We had a fantastic night at St Williams Social Club Ince for our attendees’ Christmas party! Carl Connolly of Mascot Mania DJ and entertainment kicked things off brilliantly, getting everyone involved with fun party games. His legendary “Twelve Days of Christmas” had the whole room buzzing, and we loved dancing to all our favourite tracks throughout the evening.

We enjoyed plenty of raffle prizes and spot prizes during the games, with the main raffle prize generously donated by Elite electrical NW LTD. The delicious food from Cassidy Catering was a real highlight, and a big thank you also goes to Wigan Events & Soft Play for the wonderful balloon decorations.

A brilliant night all round!

As the festive season approaches, our attendees have been hard at work creating these fantastic reindeer decorations. From cutting and painting to assembling each piece, they’ve produced some impressive final creations. It’s been wonderful to see every participant show such focus, creativity, and pride throughout each stage of the process. A huge congratulations to everyone involved!
