Empathy North West CIC Community Interest Company offering therapeutic intervention to individuals, families and children. A non-profit organisation.

We are a Community Interest Company that offers therapeutic intervention to children, young people, adults, individuals and families. We have over 20 volunteers who work with us to improve upon emotional and physical wellbeing in all of our clients. We are a Not-For-Profit Organisation, all donations are gratefully received. We work with several schools across the Wigan Borough as well as; The Youth Offending Team, Gateway, Self-Referrals, Young Mums Workshops, Young Mens Groups, Alcohol and Drug Related Issues, GP Surgeries, PEIP Team, Sure Start, BRAG (Alcohol Support Group), and Other SSE'S (Social Enterprise). We work on a one-to-one, as well as with couples and with groups. We do training workshops for professionals; ie, suicide/self harm, drug and alcohol abuse, sexual abuse and exploitation, mental health awareness workshops, self esteem, post natal depression, creative ways of working with children and young people and personal development and introduction to counselling skills. Services we provide;

Counselling - Person Centred Counselling / Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy. Psychotherapy - Used to treat psychological disorders and mental health distress. A range of techniques and strategies used in a therapeutic relationship and working towards overcoming problematic thoughts or behaviours. Hypnotherapy - The us of hypnosis as a therapeutic technique. The Hypnotherapy program will address such issues as weight loss, smoking cessation, phobias, complex psychological issues & age regression. Supervision - For student and Qualified Counsellors, play therapists and professionals from the educational world - teachers and nurses and one to one or group. Relaxation and Visualisation - Learn to relax and de-stress using special techniques that once learnt will be with you for life. Holistic and Complementary Therapies - Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Neck and Back Massage, Reiki and Aromatherapy Facials all aim to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
