A very busy month for the team at Health First out in the community at a number of events including The Latics Community Day, Hindley PCN Men’s Health and Well-being Event along with supporting a number of local businesses 🤩

What a week it has been locally for us here at Wigan.

A link up with a local football team Ashton Town FC tying in with the announcement of our 3rd club born from the Wigan Stadium Andys Man Club Ashton in Makerfield and another link up with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS)

Tomorrow starts a new week and for anyone attending Andys Man Club Monday is the favourite day of the week all ready for a weekly reset.

The focus this week has been on the impact on the families of men who suffer with their mental health.

You could be A Son, A Brother , A Dad, A Husband, A Grandad , An Uncle or A best mate with the weight of the world on your shoulders but what we don't seem to realise is how this impacts everyone around us and it has took our young superstar to open our eyes this week with a Powerful statement and a reminder we are not alone and our families want the best for us.

Walking through the door is the hardest part admitting to yourself something is wrong but by the end of the night you will realise it was the best thing you did.

It may not be for everyone but you don't know until you try.

Our groups run every Monday 7pm-9pm across the UK checkout www.andysmanclub.co.uk for your nearest venue doors open at 6:30pm.

This is a safe space for any men 18+ looking to better themselves or get back to a place they used to be without judgement or pressure to talk.

Remember it doesn't just improve your mental wellbeing but it helps those around you as well knowing you are safe and looking to make changes/ take a positive step in your life.

🚨 WE MADE THE LOCAL NEWS! 🚨

The HF team along with a variety of organisations came together for a special event organised by Hindley Primary Care Network designed to improve the health of men in Wigan which has been hailed a “great success” 💙

A large number of the male attendees took advantage of all the services on site and the FREE NHS Health Checks offered at the event by the team at Health First 🩺🤩

It was a great opportunity for all organisations to come together in the same space with a shared goal, to network and engage with each other to move together for the community 🙌
