Great course today with some great students they listened and learned and are now taking their knowledge away with the confidence to use it well done to all who attended. Onto the next one. If anyone else would like trained in first aid or knows any businesses that need training please get in touch. These courses are so valuable for such little cost. Cheapest around I can travel to your business if you have sufficient space and deliver the course there if needed.

Anyone out there would like to put a few quid into this little pot it would be much appreciated he is a very good friend of mines son and he needs a defibrillator with him at all times but they cost close to £800 any help would be greatly received by the family

Real busy month coming up for AC First Aid training starting off the month with a 3 day first aid at work course on 7th of Feb then over to the North east to do another 3 day course the week after training the event staff at the newcastle arena then we have a 1 day emergancy first aid in carlisle for security training and another at the end of the month already getting enquires for March with our first emergancy first aid at work on the 9th. Stay tuned for more course announcements and an exciting change to the company .

3 day forst aid course coming up in wigton £150 per person. This is a full first aid course and can be used in work or in every day life it's an excellent qualification to have especially for work or when looking for a job.

CHOKING! Average scary experience for both casualty and everyone around them. Could you deal with the situation calmly and with confidence. Here's how.....
The difference between mild choking and severe choking needs to be established.
If the person is coughing and is taking in air its classed as mild choking the person may be able to cough it out if not try back blows.
BACK BLOWS... lean the person over and with the heal of your hand give a Sharpe hard blow in-between the shoulder blades checking the person is still choking between blows.
Severe choking is where there is something stuck blocking the airway you will usually find they are clutching at their throat unable to make a sound.
Firstly give 5 back blows As described above if the object is still lodged after 5 back blows move on to abdominal thrusts.
ABDOMINAL THRUSTS.... get around the back of the person and with a clenched fist Locate the belly button, just above the belly button place the thumb of the clenched hand to the belly, holding tightly with the opposite hand thrust inwards and upwards.
Again upto 5 abdominal thrusts checking each time to see if the object is dislodged.
If the object is still in after the 5 abdominal thrusts repeat the cycle.
If the person falls unconscious and is not breathing start CPR.

Some signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
If you ever find someone having a heart attack, sit them on the floor with their back against a wall and bend their knees so they are sat in a W position, call 999 and reassure the patient. Your calm reassuring manner may be what saves them from more stress to the heart through panic.

Hello everyone course time I have a level 3 emergancy first aid at work course coming up in 2 weeks in wigton on the 18th of oct.
This is a level 3 qualification used in work places and in daily life. The course is a one day 6 hr course and is fully certified with an awarding body so your qualification is recognised as legitimate in the work place. The cost is 60 pounds per person a fraction of what it is worth if you ever need to use it.
Please give this a share limited spaces Available this is the one before the full first aid at work I'm holding in November so book fast please tag businesses you may think will benefit from this qualification.
