February has been full of fun, creativity and fantastic days out for our amazing service users! 🎉💛

We’ve loved getting stuck into arts & crafts, from colourful painting and creative designs to hands-on baking and sensory activities. The creativity this month has been incredible! 🎨✨

There’s also been plenty of laughter with ball pit fun and sensory room time – a great way to relax, play and enjoy the moment! 🟡🔵

Our outings have taken us out and about too – from seaside strolls and train station adventures to shopping trips and meals out. It’s been wonderful to explore the community, try new experiences and make happy memories together. 🌊🚆🍽️

✨ New addition alert! ✨
We now have massage chairs – and everyone wants a turn! They’ve already been a big hit, helping us relax and unwind after all our busy activities. 💺💆

We’re so proud of all the smiles, confidence and achievements we’ve seen throughout February. Here’s to another month of fun and friendship! 💙

Flipping fantastic fun at ISL Connect today as we celebrated Pancake Day in style!
Our amazing members got stuck in from start to finish – mixing the batter, stirring with confidence, and mastering their flipping skills at the hob 👏🔥 The kitchen was full of concentration, teamwork and plenty of smiles (even if a few pancakes didn’t quite land perfectly… we call that character! 😄).
From sweet toppings to proud moments of independence, it was more than just pancakes – it was about building skills, confidence and making memories together 💛

Shane truly represents what kindness is all about. His caring nature, positive attitude, and willingness to always lend a helping hand never go unnoticed. Whether it’s supporting others, sharing a smile, or simply being there when someone needs encouragement, Shane brings warmth and compassion into our centre every single day.
He goes the extra mile without hesitation and makes such a difference to both members and staff. We are so proud to celebrate him and the kindness he shows so naturally.

Transition Success Story ❤️ at Connect

We couldn’t be prouder of how far our member has come.
From starting his journey to now being part of a small ISL home with his housemates, the growth has been incredible to see. He has adapted so well to his new environment, embraced his routines, and built lovely connections within his home.
He has truly adjusted to this new chapter of his life — creating memories, sharing laughter, and enjoying the comfort of living more independently with the right support around him.
Seeing him so happy, relaxed and settled reminds us why these transitions matter so much. His smile says it all ♥️

Transition Journey at Connect 💙
We are incredibly proud to share how well he is settling into his new ISL home at Connect. Moving into a new home is a big transition, and he has shown real strength and resilience during this important step in his journey.
Since moving in, he has been building his daily routines and becoming more comfortable in his new surroundings. Mealtimes are now part of his structure, and he is enjoying sitting at the table and engaging in his home environment.
What has really stood out is his growing independence. He is helping with his washing, taking part in cleaning tasks, and getting involved with shopping. These may seem like everyday activities, but for our member they are meaningful steps towards greater independence and life skills development.
With the support of the team around him, our member continues to find his rhythm. Like any transition, there have been moments of adjustment, but the progress he is making is something to be celebrated.
Every small achievement is a big milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our member is embracing this new chapter.
Well done — your journey at Connect is only just beginning, and we’re right beside you every step of the way 💫

We’re celebrating Chinese (Lunar) New Year tomorrow at the Day Centre, and it would be absolutely lovely to have all the ISL team and our members come along and join in.
It’s going to be a fun, colourful, and special day, and it will mean so much to have everyone visiting, celebrating together, and sharing the joy.

Seeing our new member settling in so well with staff is just heart-warming. This picture says it all — trust, comfort, and genuine connection. The smiles, the closeness, and the relaxed body language show how safe and supported he feels already.

How can anyone resist?!

Diets = officially cancelled 😂

Day centre activities be like:
✔️ Life skills
✔️ Teamwork
✔️ Confidence building
✔️ “Just a small slice”… turns into three
Honestly, if happiness had a smell, it would be fresh cake in the oven 🧁😄
