Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and as a woman currently stranded in India due to the war, I would like to say that I have been very lucky.

🌟Lucky to have such understanding clients who have prioritised my safety when I’ve had to postpone their sessions.

🌟Lucky to have a supportive family & friends.

🌟Lucky to have met uplifting people here in Goa.

🌟Lucky to be a woman who can genuinely help others with my therapies.

🌟Lucky to be stranded in a safe & beautiful place.

Like everyone, there have been times when life felt difficult, but focusing on what brightens your day slowly puts everything else into perspective.

So always be thankful for the good in your life & for the people who lift you up and want to see you do well. They are the stars who shine brightly in the dark skies of the night 🌌

🌟I am also lucky that I have found a flight home on 16th - 10 days over the flight that was cancelled.

Let’s hope everything will be ok, the flight goes ahead and I will be back in my therapy rooms again soon 🙏

It has been a really incredible trip travelling solo to India 🧡

I have loved experiencing this vibrant country rich in culture, intrigue and the most wonderful, kind, genuine people.

As I have walked along this beautiful beach in Goa, I am filled with gratitude, in particular for the people I have in my life - the ones who lift me up, inspire me, the ones who support me unconditionally, and the ones who I know love me ❤️

Everyone one of you have these people. Focus on them. Be grateful for every kind word, be grateful for all the fun and laughter. Gratitude for what you have makes everything that doesn’t align fade away, and attract more of what you want in life. Your energy rises! 🌅

I have just arrived in South Goa and I am experiencing true happiness!

Total relief to be in this serene, relaxing place, listening to the beautiful waves, feeling the warm sun on my skin after the challenge of my 200 hour yoga teacher training! I am now a certified yoga teacher! 🎉🎉🎉

This is amazing!!! 🤩

I am so full of love ❤️❤️❤️

The most intense, challenging experiences have the greatest rewards!

We all passed and what a journey it was!

Here in Rishikesh, India we woke up every day at 5am to begin our YTT which increased in intensity by the day.

I cannot believe how much we learned. Evolving from a strong yoga practice to teacher level was certainly a transformative experience.

So much thought and intelligence goes into every Yoga Lesson. Considering breathing, the anatomy, mantra, meditation and how to help everyone feel the benefits.

Yoga also includes breath work, philosophy, and anatomy and each part helps you to feel
calmer, focused and attuned with your energy.

Along with my MSc in Psychology, this was a definite highlight of my knowledge and learning.

Feeling so grateful for the amazing people I met and the incredible experiences in India 🧡

What an incredible trip it was to hike through the Himalayas, where the Ganges begins.

It was a challenging journey: five hours up and down the mountains, surrounded by spectacular views, waterfalls, quaint villages and white sandy riverbanks.

It reminded me that life isn’t necessarily about the destination.
It’s about the pathway, the beautiful highlights and the challenges along the way that shape you and help you grow.

And even when there are distractions…
never allow them to keep you stuck.

Keep moving forward.
Take the high road towards where you want to be.

It’s been over 6 months since I stopped drinking socially, and THIS has been a huge learning…

If you drink alcohol it holds you back more than you will ever realise.

I never knew just how much those “fun nights out” were impacting my life!

This doesn’t just apply to your work, but also:

- the choices you make
- the people closest to you
- your mental health
- your physical health
- your wellbeing
- sleep
- confidence
- your skin
- energy

The list goes on…

Alcohol can be insidious because nights out are normalised and you just go with the flow… 🍾

But the fun has a much bigger price than just the bill.

Here I am in Rishikesh where alcohol is illegal, and it has been so much fun with so much peace too.
