GEORGE LIGHTFOOT FUNERAL DIRECTORS are proud to introduce our letters to heaven post box a special place created with love, comfort and rememberance in mind for our whole community. This post box has been thoughtfully set up for anyone who wishes to send letters and cards to loved ones who are no longer with us. For many people writing to someone they miss can be a powerful and healing way to express feelings or simply say the words they still hold in their hearts.
It has been inspired by those moments when cards and letters are placed on graves and are blown away. Instead of those heart felt messages being lost this post box offers a safe meaningful place where they can be symbolically sent off.
The post box will help children who are coping with loss. Writing or drawing messages can be a gentle comforting way for them to express their emotions. It creates a positive reassuring space for them to stay connected to the person they have lost.
