Today is International Women's Day, and while we celebrate the global achievements of women, we’re looking closer to home at the women who are changing Social Care for good.

It started with our Founder and CEO, Anne-Marie Perry, whose vision created CareMatch. That mission is driven forward every day by our leadership and head office team: Kelda Atherton, Louise Swainland, Nicole Bendall, Paulina Crespo, and Petra Kutisova.

But the impact doesn't stop at Head Office. Out in our communities, over 85% of our active Carer Members are women. They are the ones on the front lines, delivering high-quality, flexible care and proving that the future of this industry is empowered, professional, and female-led.

The eagle eyed among you may notice that the CareMatch posters disappeared between the two events - Patrick managed to 'misplace' them...but he's already apologised and he'll get to work sorting out the replacements. Hopefully he won't do that again!

When other organisations talk about doing care differently, they don't always know how to achieve that.

Maybe they save the Care Receiver a small amount, maybe they pay the Carer a bit more - very few do both, even fewer save as much and pay as much as CareMatch can.

We're proud of what we've achieved so far, and we are continuing to drive a change in the culture of Care to create a lasting difference for an industry in need.

The results are in. Following our end of year Customer Satisfaction survey, CareMatch scored an average 4.74 out of 5!

100% of our Care Receivers said their Carers are flexible and adaptive, 100% said they feel supported by their Carers and 100% feel their Carers improve their quality of life.

What a fantastic result, and a huge credit to our Carers.

We recently asked the team about their New Year's resolutions - so naturally Nicole told us about the dinner she recently made.

"I was asked to make a paella. It was an unusual request for this time of year for what I would say is a summer meal, but I have always wanted to cook one, so it was a good excuse. After an hour of stirring in chicken stock to the rice, cooking red onions, chicken and spicy chorizo, some help cooking the mussels and someone else on the prawns, we were finally ready to add it all together. Salmon, haddock, monkfish, calamari, saffron and smoked paprika. We kept the mussels separate as they're not to everyone's taste. To say it was a success was an understatement and it was great to see the kids enjoying it, even pulling the shells, heads off the prawns and tucking into the mussels."

Credit to Nicole, while it's not a New Year's resolution, it does look INCREDIBLE 😍
