Catherine Grist

Catherine Grist Nutritionist, Somatic Therapist, Health and Transformational coach.

I support good health through a whole-body-mind-spirit approach
1:1 personal sessions and programmes
Workshops, circles and retreats
Corporate workshops, webinars and employee support I cut through the sensational headlines and overwhelming marketing by listening to my clients situations and needs to offer them practical dietary and lifestyle solutions to boost their energy levels and empower them to be the best possible versions of themselves and enable their whole families to thrive. I’ve always loved cooking and eating, but nutrition became an interest of mine in my early 20’s after I discovered the full impact it had on my health and energy as I embarked on a fast-paced city career. Fast forward a decade, and my interest was transformed into a true passion by the responsibility of bringing into this world and raising my two boys. This gave me the opportunity and courage to step away from what I was doing and turn my passion into a new career that could help others to also experience the power of food. For more information about working with me, drop me a message or book a free discovery call to find out how I can help you get back in control of your health and truly thrive!

Last days of the Unplug to Recharge Winter Retreat… the sky cleared, the sun came back and we took a beautiful walk to the lake. There was whittling, we grilled in the grill hut, stoked the wood-fired sauna, enjoyed a beautiful pink sunset, and for a final hurrah - the northern lights danced across the sky for us.

My heart is full. I met incredible people and was honored to share a step or two of their journey with them. This place is pure magic and I am so incredibly proud of what I created here and the incredible team that made it happen -

Please bear with me while I take a very big sleep! I’ll be back soon 🤗

Update 2… ice fishing, fire lighting, reindeer wraps from the grill, walking on the frozen lake with the snow falling around, slow food workshop with Petra and lots more yummy food 😋

Last full day today, going back in the sauna and dinner in the grill stuga. How can a week have passed already?! I’m so grateful for everyone that’s here, so grateful I get to do this!

Who wants to be on the waiting list for 2027 then? 😉

It’s still winter in case anyone hadn’t noticed so we are not all about the new year new you salads 😉

This delicious and warming soup is perfect for this time of year. I’m sincerely hoping that has it on the menu for next week 😉

Go ahead and save it - you won’t regret it!

As a follow on to my “Jämtland through my windscreen” reel I was compiling a “Jämtland on my dog walks reel”, but then this happened on Sunday evening’s dog walk!

It got me thinking about joy and finding joy in the everyday moments. I already find joy in walking Bailey through nature and in the fresh air, it relaxes me and inspires me. It gives my mind time to rest and my body the opportunity to just “be”.

And the joy I then felt seeing this? It was just incredible, and I felt that surge of energy through my whole body, the smile taking over my face.

And it’s the same when I see the wildlife here, the reindeer, moose, cranes arriving in the spring, the owls in the darkness, even the foxes and snow hares.

I feel that joy in the sunrises and the sunsets, the snowfall and the rainbows. I am just at total peace observing the changes of the seasons, the first buds through the snow in spring, the surge of colour that bursts forth, the changing of the leaves in autumn, that first frost in the ground and the first gentle flakes of snow arriving.

Don’t get me wrong, some days are incredibly hard. Working only online, having to shovel my way out of the house to get somewhere, being so far from my family and those I love. But as long as I go outside, I feel my peace and joy again. Things like this happen all around me.

This place is my medicine. What’s yours? What brings you joy every single day? What brings you back into your body? Grounds you and brings you your sparkle?

It may only be Tuesday, but this week has already sent some clear signals, reminders, that it is in fact not the new year yet. It’s still winter. It’s the time to tend the soil, get things in order, prepare the ground from which I will be able to launch in Spring.

New year achievement - the booking page is now live for my 2026 Autumn Foraging Retreat!

This retreat is designed to give you a breath of fresh air, a pause, a step away from the busyness of modern life and a moment to “be” again. We’ll be in the beautiful forests of northern Sweden at off-grid retreat centre, combining stillness, reflection & connection, with wild food foraging, traditional cooking and preserving methods, natural skin and health care, meditations and sharing circles, creativity and nourishment.

I know money’s tight at this time of year, so I’m offering an early-bird £100 off the deposit until the end of Feb. Don’t delay though - there are only 8 spaces available.

All the details are on my website, but of course please comment here or message me for a link.

Here’s to a healthy and happy 2026, Catherine x

In my December newsletter I sent out this granola recipe and since I’ve had such wonderful feedback about it I thought perhaps I should share it here as well.

If you’ve still time ahead of the celebrations, this takes about an hour to do including the baking. And if not, it’s still a great one for the new year too!

Do please let me know what you think of it, and what recipes you’d like to see, or meal conundrums you would like solved in 2026 too.

And if you haven’t already signed up to my Inner Circle email and received this and my Festive Gut Survival Guide - head over to my website to do that now.

My Story

Are you tired all the time? Suffering from poor digestion or bloating? Don’t feel quite 100%? Are your hormones are in havoc? Struggling to lose that extra weight?

I'm a Nutritional Therapist based in South West London (Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Morden) offering one to one consultations, workshops and courses. And I’m passionate about both good food and health, which I am confident I can prove to you go hand in hand!

As a Mum of two young boys, I know how difficult it is to juggle our daily lives and still make good food choices, but changing my own diet and studying nutrition science was the best decision I ever made and one that that I’d love to share with you too!
