I read James Nestor's book 'Breath' last year. Even after 25 years of yoga practice, it's a very eye opening read. James emphasises the importance of breathing well (through the nose) - for our wellbeing and nervous system as well as to guard against and counter physical ailments and conditions, including asthma.
