This is so helpful in understanding our nervous system.
We live in Sympathetic most of the time which causes symptoms in the body.
So if we can regulate our nervous system and tap into parasympathetic our bodies will function better. Finding balance is hard but
Things like exercise. Yoga. Breathing techniques. And many more can help with this.

As December rolls in and the winter months get darker and busier, it’s completely normal to feel routines start to wobble. ❄️
The cold, the holidays, the end-of-year fatigue—everything seems to pull us away from the habits that actually make us feel good.

But this is exactly when taking care of your physical and mental wellbeing matters the most.
Consistency doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be intentional.

So keep showing up, even on the days when you’re tired or tempted to skip. Every time you arrive, you’re choosing yourself.

And if you can’t make it in and during that time between Christmas and New Year, try a few minutes of home practice:
💛Stretch, breathe, move, or simply check in with your body.
💛Go for a mindful walk in nature, breathe with each step you take.
💛Sit in stillness take ten deep breaths close your eyes, reset

Small things count. Small things add up.

Your future self—January you, springtime you—will thank you for staying committed through the winter. 💛

Let’s finish the year feeling grounded, strong, and connected.
Let’s step into the new one with routines that support us, not drain us.

You’ve absolutely got this. 💪🧘‍♀️✨

The Moon is already shining bright tonight and tomorrow (4th December) it will be a FULL MOON
In many spiritual and symbolic traditions, the Cold Moon (the December full moon) represents themes of ending, reflection, cleansing, and renewal. These meanings aren’t tied to any one religion — they come from a mix of pagan, nature-based, and modern spiritual practices.

Here are the most commonly associated spiritual meanings:

🌕 1. Reflection & Inner Stillness
December brings long nights and quiet energy. Spiritually, the Cold Moon encourages:
Looking inward
Reviewing the year
Understanding what needs to be released

❄️ 2. Release & Letting Go
Because it’s the final full moon of the year, it’s seen as a time to:
Let go of old habits
Clear emotional or mental clutter
Finish unresolved cycles

🔥 3. Transformation in the Dark
The Cold Moon sits just before the winter solstice, symbolising:
Transformation during darkness
Trusting the process even when things feel slow
Preparing for new growth

✨ 4. Protection & Renewal
Some traditions see the Cold Moon as offering a protective, restorative energy:
Strengthening boundaries
Resting before the “rebirth” energy of the new year
Recharging spiritually

🌱 5. Setting Intentions for the Coming Year
While new moons are often used for intention-setting, many people use the Cold Moon to:
Visualise the year ahead
Plant “seeds” of future goals
Align with long-term purpose

🌕 Cold Moon Ritual (Yoga + Journaling)
A quiet, low-pressure practice you can do at home.

🧘‍♀️ 1. Set the Space
Dim lights or use a candle.
Sit comfortably
Take 7 deep breaths, lengthening the exhale.
Silently set your intention: “I release what no longer supports me.”

🧘‍♂️ 2. Grounding Yoga Flow
This sequence focuses on releasing tension and opening space emotionally and physically.

a) Cat–Cow
Connect breath with movement; imagine exhaling anything heavy.

b) Standing Forward Fold
Let your arms hang. Knees soft, head heavy
Visualize the year’s tension dripping into the floor.

c) Low Lunge → Half Split (each side)
Opens hips and hamstrings — areas linked to stored emotion and old patterns.

d) Seated Twist
Twists symbolise wringing out the old.

e) Child’s Pose
Rest the forehead on a block or cushion.
Feel supported, protected, and grounded.

Optional:
Hold Legs-Up-the-Wall for 3–5 minutes to reset your nervous system.

📓 Journaling Under the Cold Moon (10 minutes)

Reflection Prompts
What am I proud of from this year, even if it felt small?
What moments shaped me the most?
Where did I grow, even if no one else saw it?

Renewal Prompts
What qualities do I want to carry into the new year?
What would my life feel like if I trusted myself fully?
Which part of me is ready to awaken?

🌙 5. Closing
Sit quietly, place one hand on your heart and one on your lower belly.
Say softly (or think):

“I release. I rest. I begin again.”

That’s it — simple, gentle, and deeply aligned with the Cold Moon’s energy.

🙏

Hello everyone, i don't post a lot these days, I don't want to play ball with Facebook’s algorithms and coming across inauthentic. I don't like creating videos, I refuse to pay to boost posts, I don't like marketing strategies that hook people in.

Yoga isn’t about likes, engagement, or even achieving perfect poses—it’s not a social media performance. At its core, yoga is about presence, self-awareness, and connection—to your body, mind, and breath.

Some reminders about the essence of yoga:

Inner awareness: Not about showing flexibility or strength, but noticing how your body feels and how your mind reacts.

Breath and mindfulness: Breathing fully and being present in the moment matters more than the pose.

Balance and harmony: Yoga encourages balance—physically, mentally, and emotionally—not competition.

Personal journey: There’s no “right” way to do it. Each practice is unique to you.

Social media can highlight yoga, but the real practice happens off-screen, quietly, inside yourself.

So as you can tell a lot happens behind the scenes off social media.
I can't 'sell you' my offerings, I can't tell you how you will feel, i can't say you will feel better or be healed, but what i can say is that with a regular practice, there will be a shift....a change...a journey to finding your true self. It may feel messy, raw, uncomfortable, challenging but if you can let yourself experience this i feel Yoga is a way of processing life. And builds up resilience to manage life.

It's a long journey and wow how much i've changed in the last ten years and i'm continuing to change, my practice changes too.

Yoga is very special. It doesn't need any bells and whistles.
Yoga is simple but effective.

If any of this resonates or you have any thoughts please leave a comment - i love to chat 😀
