Behind every safe happy ride is a lot of care – including regular visits from a qualified saddler. This week our ponies had their saddles professionally checked and adjusted to ensure perfect fit and comfort. This is vital for their wellbeing, especially as they support our disabled riders, but it’s also an ongoing expense for our charity. 👏👏Congratulations to our coaches, who have passed their assessments with flying colours. 👏👏
Every three years, they are assessed by an external Coach Developer, which includes being observed leading a lesson, checking first aid certification, safeguarding practices and risk assessments. Our coaches are dedicated to providing the best experience for every rider and we all appreciate the time and skill they put in every week. Thank you Debbie, Geraldine, Stella and Mandy, and well done!!

Lots of challenges for our riders today - in the big school they were practicing steering using leg aids and in the small school they were riding without reins, without stirrups and with eyes closed to test their balance skills. Pleased to say all our young people rose to the challenge 💪🏽

It was touch and go, but the rain held off and we had a lovely morning welcoming back our riders after the summer break. It was so nice to see everyone 😀🐴
