💊 Repeat Prescriptions on the NHS App 💊

Today we want to show you how easy it is to order your repeat prescriptions on the NHS App. The video below shows you the whole request process (and more!) in under a minute. It really is that simple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hsk_grMPHE&t=48s

Please note: the NHS App will only display your repeat medication that is allowed to be requested at that time. If your medications are not visible, it is likely they are not due yet or they may be needing to be reviewed by a GP first.

If you need to talk to us about a prescription issue, we have a dedicated Prescribing Line that you can access by calling the surgery (and selecting option 2) during the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 9am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm.
Friday: 9am - 11am.

PLEASE NOTE - WE CAN NO LONGER TAKE PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE PHONE OR VIA EMAIL.

💙 NHS App Information Week 💙

This week we will be promoting the NHS App. Each day we will focus on a different area of the NHS App that might be useful to you.

Today we are providing a simple introduction to the NHS App and how you can navigate once you are logged in. Please watch this video that demonstrates the basics what is available to you:

If you have not done so already, you can download and get setup on the NHS App by following these steps:

1. Download the NHS App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Open the app and select Create an account or Log in if you already have an NHS account.
3. Enter your email address and create a secure password.
4. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your email inbox.
5. Provide your NHS number or other personal details (e.g., name, date of birth, postcode) to link your account to your NHS records.
6. Prove your identity by uploading a photo of your ID (e.g., passport, driving license) and recording a short video or answering security questions. Alternatively, if you have no Photo ID, please contact us requesting your NHS App no photo ID linkage information.
7. Wait for your identity to be verified. This may take a few hours or up to 24 hours.
8. Once verified, log in to the app using your email and password to access NHS services.

Need to cancel your appointment? You can do this in a few easy steps via the NHS app!

1. Log in to the NHS App.
2. Go to the homepage or "Your health" and select "Upcoming and past appointments".
3. Choose "GP surgery appointments".

📋 PRESCRIPTION REQUEST INFORMATION 📋

Requesting your repeat medication via an online platform such as the NHS app, Airmid or SystmOnline is the best and most efficient way to order and track your prescription requests.

In the event that you cannot use your online services for any reason, we have a form you can use to request medication, which can be found here: https://www.quarterjacksurgery.co.uk/repeat-medication-request-form/

Please note: on the NHS App, your repeat medication will not be displayed until it is allowed to be requested. On Airmid and SystmOnline you will see all your repeat medications however each medication will only be selectable when they are allowed to be requested. The most likely scenario of medications not being able to be requested, is because they are not due yet or they may be needing to be reviewed by a GP.

If you need to talk to us about your prescription, we have a dedicated Prescribing Line that you can access by calling the surgery during the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 9am - 11am; 2pm - 4pm.

NOTICE TO ALL PATIENTS ATTENDING FLU CLINIC NEXT WEDNESDAY 22ND OCTOBER

Any patients with appointments for flu or covid on Wednesday 22nd October, please be aware that the AFTERNOON SESSION ONLY will now take place at our The Old Dispensary site (32 East Borough, Wimborne Minster BH21 1PL).

Morning appointments will still be at The Allendale Centre (Hanham Road, Wimborne BH21 1AS).

We will attempt to contact everyone who has an afternoon appointment.

FURTHER WORK ON OUR INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE - THURSDAY 9TH OCTOBER PM.

Further to the work we had carried out on the surgery's intenet infrastructure earlier this week, there will be a further period of work being undertaken during the afternoon of Thursday 9th October.
This will have an impact on surgery services for a short while as we will not have intenet access and we may not be able to answer patient phone calls whilst this work is being undertaken. We apologise for any inconvience this may cause.
We will keep patients updated by posting on this page when this occurs.
