Our November Newsletter is out, we have had a lovely October and we are very much looking forward to December to get our decorations out and celebrate the events we have coming up. November we have our usual activities with Karen and Kate and a few events, so a calmer month preserving everyone's energy for December!

The witches have flown on their broomsticks so fast,
And the spooky night of Halloween is past.
The plastic white ghosts are now tucked in a drawer,
We won't need to fear them until next year, or more!
But do not despair that the trick-or-treat stops,
For November is here with its cocoa and drops.
The autumn air chills, but we don't have to roam,
Just snuggle up warm in our lovely rest home.
So let the wind howl, and the rain start to fall,
Cosy nights at Mile Oak are best of them all!
With blankets and books and a chatter or two,
We’re ready for winter, and happy, too!

What a busy day the residents have had today.
Lovely morning with a performance from the talented Green Room.
Afternoon of arts and crafts with autumn leaves 🍂
And to finish off, a coffee, cake and natter for those that were not snoozing.

Were getting ready for our party on Saturday and we hope you are too!

We have a full house at Mile Oak and it is lovely to see the home thriving and welcoming our new guests.

Our October Monthly Newsletter, keep a note of the dates for your diaries! We will soon be off to get our pumpkins ready for our Halloween Party!

We pay a special tribute to one of our wonderful residents and we send our love and light to the lovely family of Patrick.

Tuesday and the sun is gloriously shining. Morning exercises took place with our residents followed by a game of dominoes with a few of our ladies.

Golden leaves at Mile Oak fall,
Autumn's joy, a festive call.

Pumpkins glow, a cheerful sight,
Bringing all together, day and night.
The colder days, the Christmas lights,
Fill Mile Oak with pure delights.

Carols sung and stories told,
New memories for young and old.
A time for all to gather near,
And spread good tidings, full of cheer.

We cannot wait to enjoy some festive events in these coming months. Yes, Christmas may seem too far away, and how dare we say that word in September... but were already planning!

All will be revealed in our next newsletter so friends and families can plan their festivities around their loved ones and enjoy all the offerings we have in our planner!

Look what's been blooming at Mile Oak! We're so proud of our creative residents who, with the brilliant guidance of Karen, have discovered their inner florists. They've been busy all day, turning simple flowers into gorgeous, professionally-looking arrangements. It's been a wonderful afternoon of creativity, and the stunning bouquets they've created are proof of their talent and newfound green fingers. A huge thank you to Karen for inspiring such a lovely activity!

As the sun sets on another beautiful bank holiday, it's hard not to feel a little bit sad that it's over. But what a lovely weekend it has been! We were so blessed with glorious sunshine that made our Saturday BBQ an absolute joy. The air was filled with delicious food, happy chatter, and the sound of laughter.
These are the moments we'll reminisce about in the days and weeks to come—the simple, beautiful memories of being surrounded by the people we love. This weekend was a reminder of how precious these moments are. Now, with our hearts full, we look forward to making even more wonderful memories at our next family get-together.
