🌳 Watch this space 🌳

We're always looking for ways to expand and open up opportunities for our serving personnel and veterans.
Last week, Tara, Shaun, and Kev visited a special place with oodles of potential.

This will become a sanctuary for our members, offering a place to join existing projects, assist with woodland management, create new outdoor opportunities, and be at one with nature.

A huge thank you to Paul for the invite, the pleasure is all ours!

We can't wait to show you how it evolves 😁

Thanks for having us 😁

πŸ”΄ Remembrance πŸ”΄

As we enter a new month, we reflect on Remembrance.
To us, remembering those who served is so poignant every day.

Every year, Wincanton Town has a fantastic parade down the length of the High Street, ending with a church service.
Our Hub opens after for brews and as a place to remember, reminisce, and recover if required. A safe place to be alongside people who 'get it'.

So many of those who serve(d) find Remembrance Sunday a difficult day where all kinds of emotions and memories come up. Being with us helps to process those in a beneficial way.

This year, we were honoured to have a visit from Col Lucy Giles, Col Colin Thomas, and Retired RSM Dave Hill. All 3 attended the parade and visited after to find out about the work we do.

We're passionate about what we do, and it was a pleasure to share our work with Lucy, Colin, and Dave.

Changing attitudes towards mental health and su***de within the military community is our mission and we welcome anyone still serving to visit and see first hand the difference we make within the community.

I think you'll also agree, our Hub misfits scrub up well, too πŸ˜‰

APPEAL FOR INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

We are seeking information regarding Fraser Andrew McMillan, 42, from Merstham, Surrey, who has been missing to family and friends since 2006.

Fraser is a former Coldstream Guardsman (1999–2009), based at Windsor and trained at Aldershot. The last known confirmed record was on the 2002 census, and there was one withheld call in 2014, but he has not otherwise been in contact. His family, friends, and former Army colleagues remain very concerned for his welfare.

If anyone knows of Fraser’s whereabouts, or is in contact with him, please could they make him aware of this appeal. We understand that he may have chosen not to make contact with family and friends (and that is of course his right), however, if Fraser can reach out to let us know he is safe, that communication will be handled with the strictest confidence.

If you have any information, please get in touch. Fraser, if you're reading this, you have a great number of family and friends who care about you and want to know that you're safe. Let us know you're okay.

APPEAL FOR INFORMATION: CRAIG ROBERTS

We are renewing our appeal for information to help locate Craig Roberts, who has been missing since 7th July 2024.

Craig, aged 52, was last seen in the Looe Holiday Park area of Cornwall around 5.45pm on Sunday 7 July 2024. Despite extensive searches and previous public appeals, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Craig is described as being around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with short dark hair, and is not very mobile. He often wears a flat cap, and was last seen in a camouflage top, blue jeans, and black and white trainers.

Recent reports suggest Craig may now be in the Plymouth area, where there have been possible sightings in the past few months. His family are especially hopeful that someone in the local community may have seen him, or might do so around upcoming public events in the city.

Craig’s family just want to know that he’s safe and well and are asking anyone who may have seen him, spoken to him, or knows where he might be staying to please get in touch.

If you have any information at all, please contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 999 (if immediate) or 101, quoting reference 972 of 7 July 2024.

You can also reach out to Beacon Alert privately if you wish to share information in confidence.
