We’re delighted to share a wonderful update from our team following the first Southern Area NAFD meeting at Test Valley, Westerleigh.

It was an absolute pleasure to attend such an informative and engaging session, with around 30 attendees including many new faces, all bringing genuine passion and dedication. What truly stood out was how clearly everyone in the room placed bereaved families and the deceased at the heart of everything they do.

We’re also incredibly proud to announce that Julian, one of our Funeral Directors, has been newly appointed as the Southern Area NAFD Secretary, and Evie, another of our Funeral Directors, has taken on the role of Digital Engagement Officer. A huge congratulations to both.

The meeting included insightful contributions from the lead medical examiner, the senior APT from RHCH mortuary, the bereavement team leader, the mortuary operations manager, and the superintendent registrars. Their openness and expertise made for a truly valuable discussion.

A big thank you to Westerleigh for their hospitality and catering.

A productive, inspiring, and promising start to the year for the Southern Area NAFD.

We’re honestly blown away 💙

In just 2.5 months, with the kindness of our clients and staff, through in memory donations and our summer memorials, we’ve already raised £4,184 for our charity of the year Wi******er Youth Counselling

It means so much to us, and we can’t wait to see what the next 9–10 months bring as we keep fundraising together.
