The Wessex Cancer Alliance want to know if people would use a Smartphone app to keep an eye on changes to their skin. Apps like ‘SkinVision’ are designed to identify early signs of skin cancer. It could help people decide when they need to get advice from their doctor about moles or changes to their skin. To find out if and when people would use the SkinVision app we are asking different groups of people what they think.

We are currently having some of our clinical rooms at Twyford decorated & during this period we need to store desks, bookcases & trolleys. So that we can keep as many rooms in use as possible some of these items may need to be temporarily stored in areas visible to patients.

Thank you to everyone that has completed a Friends & Family Test in the quarter covering October - December.

From 1 January 2026, children will be offered MMRV vaccine as part of the routine childhood schedule of immunisations. MMRV vaccine protects children against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox).

Please note that the surgery will be closed on Thursday December 25th & Friday December 26th & will reopen as usual on Monday December 29th.

We will close again on Thursday January 1st & reopen as usual on Friday January 2nd.

Colden Common Surgery will be closed on the same dates but is also closing early on both Christmas Eve (3pm) & New Year’s Eve (5pm).

If you haven’t already had your flu vaccination for the 2025/2026 season we now have new appointments available. These can be booked online or by calling reception.

Appointments are available for patients that qualify for an NHS funded vaccine in both the under 65 & over 65 age groups.

Please be patient with our Pharmacy team as they work really hard to catch with outstanding repeat prescription requests

Please be aware that following the implementation of a new system the Pharmacy team are currently between 5 & 6 days behind in processing repeat prescription requests.
