On my way home today I thought I would take a quieter route and enjoy the autumn foliage, that all to often disappears in one viscous storm. I was so saddened to see my way blocked by a load of building rubbish, tipped without thought on the road.
Rather than paying to take it up the local skip they had decided to just abandon their rubbish for other to clean up.
It is heartbreaking to see their lack of connection with the country side and that to save a skip fee they find a quiet spot to fly tip.
This is not a victimless crime, fly tipping increases the detrimental effects to wildlife and our own increasing council taxes.
With concrete barriers across every gate to stop the hare coursing and a rise in fly tipping, to the few, the countryside is not seen as a place of solace but as a unmonitored location for criminal activity π’π€¬ποΈ
